Shame on you Lloyd's, your a Bank of lyres and devils and i Despise you. Hope you get it sorted mate.

Gordonstoun education and 22 years in the fiancial services.( EX IFA & DIRECTOR) Have anxiety and depression now and a divorce. No one can address my issues or matters.
i had a letter today saying that lloyds tsb are going to start to charge £5.00 if you go over drawn even if you have it authorised, this is an additional amount on top of the 19% AER . i went in there today saying that i often go over drawn ( authorised ) and this could cost me an extra £60.00 per year in charges. they told me that all banks are going to introduce this new charge. this is NOT true. barclays said that there will never be in force with them and i will be banking at barclays soon
that's nothing lloyds tsb staff use your debit card details to pay off there bills and try to cover this up when you realise money from your account is missing by paying you the money back and not doing anything like cancelling the cards because they know it is internal fraud not some git with a skimmer in McDonalds
Funnily enough, there was a transaction that turned up on my statement I knew nothing about. To be fair on Lloyds, they did refund the money straight away and promised 'investigation' - but I heard bugger all else after that.
This was Lloyds, and they can't run a bank properly (they'd be best leaving it to someone who can, which rules them out!), so asking them to hold a detailed investigation is out of the question!
People with bank charges do my fucking nut in!!! You bought or paid with something money you didn't have!!! You wouldn't walk in to a shop and say........ I have 10 pounds, and tht costs 20, i'll just buy it take it and let someone else pay!!!! DONT GO OVERDRAWN!!!! As for the quoting the laws you read on the internet......... shut up :)
And ignorant, embittered LTSB employees on their way out the door get my piss boiling as well!!!
Who else is going to bother speaking up in its defence, being that it's now one of the most hated companies in the UK?
In my case, it's actually multiple bank fuck-ups, and charges only make up a small part of the clip.
As for laws, sorry, but I think you'll find that The UTICCR 1999 (Section 2083) makes the charges very clearly unlawful and that the law agrees with me...now fuck off :)

Why don`t you just get a life.If you managed to manage your finances correctly you would not have received any penalty charges and your account be have been run completely free of charge. There is no other country in Europe where Banks give you free banking. If you wanted duplicate statements, why didn`t you just go online and print them out. You appear to be completely clueless so no wonder you didn`t stay long working for Barclays and appear to be completely unable to manage your finances.
depen1 - Why don't you just refer to previous comments that make the same point as yours about 10 times over? There's less to read through, so what's your excuse?
There is no other country in Europe where Banks give you free banking. Neither does this one - weve just paid billions to bail them out of their own self-destructive greed.
Was there a full moon when you came up with such an idiotic statement?

I really dont understand your issue? You only get charged when you dont manage your account within agreed limits and as for your PPI complaint your given the terms and asked to read them and sign them plus your given a cooling off period after that if your still not happy. Regards the bank itself. 8 times in a row most trusted bank and the only bank to make a profit last year! i just think you need to put time making vids towards looking for a job!
goggs999 - Hilarious. Another one that misses the point completely!
The problem I have with LTSB can be summed up by the rash of delays, fob-offs, failure to act on information requests, and overall failure to address concerns I was subject to.
I personally stopped paying them when they tried to impose a small fortune in unlawful charges - by this time, it was beginning to become common knowledge that they were unlawful.
BTW - did I mention that I did ask LTSB to cancel PPI (in writing, more than once) which got left ignored?
Yep, LTSB are really doing well at the moment - 900 people laid off, share value jack-knifed, chairman handing in notice, $350 million pay-off to halt investigations into possible breach of UN Sanction Law, alienation of the Islamic Community, 24 billion in taxpayers money to rescue it (are LTSB going to pay this back?) - and all this within the last six months.
And what has employment status got to do with anything?
I may or may not be employed, but if I'm not, then I hardly think I'm ever going to be as much of a drain on Britain's finances than LTSB. It'll be an awful long time before I cost this country 24 billion!
Speaking of employment status, if you're a LTSB employee (I assume you are), then if I were you, I'd start updating my CV. When they cull another 900, you could be among them.
And if you are, can we expect to see your own YT clip?
A lot in charges (well over half) - claim's in to get them back. Cost of running around? Well, that's a lot too. PPI policy comes to a fair whack also.
Yep, I trusted LTSB.
I was young, I was stupid, I won't be making that kind of mistake again, and I'll make it my business to see that as many people as I can don't make that mistake either.
the staff from top to bottom are crap i hope they loose thier jobs as they look down at customers. the best of it is they are all on benefits as we the tax payer are propping up wages in that bank. give them a 10% pay cut like in other industries

We're talking about how incompetent LTSB are and the fact that they're probably the most underhand, crooked and corrupt bank/financial service around. This has nothing to do with what you read and sign - this is to do with the tactics used by LTSB to sell their services and the corrupt ways that they like to fleece their customers. As well as the way such a large company loves to abuse their position and throw their weight around
There was a fairly well publicised case of a student (funnily enough, I opened my Lloyds account as a student account) who'd been lumbered with £800 in charges for going a few pence over. Somehow, I knew that LTSB wouldn't learn from all this negative publicity.
As for said charges, claim them back. Can be done, and ANYONE who's been levied with an unfair penalty charge should do the same. If you do, Lloyds will be awkward and obstructive at best, but stand your ground.
never go to lloyds tsb if you are a student especially, they will ripped you off with their overdraft scam...was £32 overdrawn now have to pay £500...just absolutely nonsense

Same thing happened with Barclays, when they took control of Woolwich and completely fucked everything up in the process. And Barclays - as useless as they are - are a model of competence compared to Lloyds.

Tell me about it. If you've been through it, you start appreciating just how frustrating they make things when they hit a problem they don't want to deal with.
Thing is, I was stupid enough to continue paying for a while, then they just got a little bit too arrogant with how they were handling things. Then, I decided to start biting back, which they didn't like.
Apparently, their profits have gone way down for the first half of this year - aahh, diddums...

The Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 No 2083 makes this clear. Funny you should mention driving offences - the legality of speed cameras is also now being contested.
So, just think -- that fine (admitted or not) could be judged as unlawful and you might stand a chance of getting that £240 back. Remember where you're living -- drivers get shit on just as bank customers do, and that money's better off in your pocket, right?
Firstly, the DD in question was cancelled by myself (with the company AND the bank) in writing, and both gave me false confirmation that cancellation came into effect.
Secondly, I was questioning various aspects of the account, but payments were being maintained. Once I with-held payment, it was passed to a collections agency within a month -- hardly a long time.
Thirdly, when did anyone give banks the authority to levying fines on customers or more to the point, to profit from doing so?
