  • When I read the title Camera Obscura, I instantly thought Fatal Frame. It's a good game, totally worth a look. Nice song by the way! C:

  • Really love this. It makes me want to be sitting on your porch just listening to the music. Is the Tashagato hard to play? I play an american autoharp. Thanks for posting the video.

  • thanks for your comments, it makes me happy that you liked it, and yes, that porch really is a wonderful place to play music ! We have a couple of autoharps as well, I love them too. The taisho koto isn't really hard to play. All strings are tuned to G which gives a more complex sound than just one string. There is also a drone string tuned to G an octave down. They're a great addition to autoharps if you want to play some solo melody over the top of the autoharp.

  • Thank you for beautiful music.

    You composed this tune?

I'm from Osaka and thinking about learning to play taisyokoto.

  • Hi, I am so glad that you liked it. Yes, I composed it. We have two taisho kotos, both bought on ebay from Osaka. I believe they were invented in Nagoya. They are basically easy to play, but like any string instrument, it takes experience to make beautiful sounds ! Thanks for your comment.

  • very nice! What are those birds in the background called? It sounds like an old Werner Herzog film from the Amazonas.

  • wonderful mix of timbre's. Very interesting composition. Just great!

  • very beautiful and strange! Thank you very much!

  • nice music..i am from india .Where I can buy this instrument?

  • Hi -

we bought our taisho koto from japan, via Ebay. All strings are tuned to G, pitch is changed via the buttons. Hope you get one, they're really great.

  • Where I can buy this instrument?

  • Hi there

    It's called a taisho koto

we bought ours via Ebay - it's a japanese instrument and ours was from Osaka in Japan. If you search for taisho koto you will find them, and they're pretty light so shipping isn't that expensive.

  • Can't find it via Ebay.
