It is my greatest wish that the proper representation of Wolaytigna come back into the mainstream instead of the bastardizations that are out there today. It is not similar enough to Central African rhythms like Makossa and soukous for it to be likened to it so much in music videos, and it breaks my heart. There will never be anything like the original. This is beautiful!
This is the real wolaytan song and dance by wolaytans. It's always great to see the owner of a culture display it and celebrate it in its original, an tampered form or modernize it as they see fit than outsiders who are bent on recreating in their own perceived image or outright destroying others culture foul it up.
this is so cool...the real Wolaytigna dance...so nice and cool...keep up the good work...wish to see more wolayta music...its so nice to see the culture and everything...Peace
