how long does this whole process take? Also, I couldn't really tell how your eggplant was cut, was it quartered? We also weren't able to see you do anything else with the tomato. Did you peel the skin off after awhile and then just smush it up and add it back into the pot?
eggplants cut in about half inch slices, then those slices were quartered. the tomato was put in whole in the broth, then when it got soft i poked around to find it, then smooshed it with a spoon in the pot, skin and all. sinigang from start to finish takes about an hour. hope this helps!
hey nice video, my favorite filipino dish i just love, never seen anyone sweat off the onions at the start b4, i might try that next time, hey watch me cooking sinigang in my english way
that's not true. i live in japan and i always cook sinigang. you can substitute spinach for kangkong. you can buy sinigang mix in filipino stores naman e. where in japan ru ba? ako i live in nagoya! :) btw. nice sinigang wilmar. good for u!
Merry holidays!! I didn't know what sinigang was before, but now I'll never forget. :) Do you think you could make lobster bisque or butternut squash bisque? I had some in Boston recently, and I am in love!

lol that's true. Everyone uses the sinigang mix these days. I'd love to learn how to make sinigang with real tamarind and/or another souring agent.

Looks yummy, and I do believe you cooked it right, but what's up with the Middle Eastern music? Seems out of place...?
Starlight1010 3 years ago
Haha I don't know... I wanted something nice and upbeat and kind of world beat-ish, so I just crambled around GarageBand and came up with this.
Thanks for watching! Glad you think my food looks good. It tasted good, too!
