Assalamu Alaikum, in my culture, people hold the Quran over the bride's head on weddings, I feel like it's a bid'ah, but I'm not 100% sure. My parents also told me to hold the Quran over my brother's head after he came home from the hospital because he was sick for some months. Please tell me if it's a bidah or not. And is it permissible to recite Ayat ul Kursi or anything else from the Quran and then blow on oneself or blow in a house for protection? Please answer brother, JazakAllah Khair
Bid'ah indeed. You may not recite the Ayah and blow on yourself ot the house as the messenger of Allaah never did that. What he did was recite the three Quls, blow on his hands, then wipe his head, face, and body prior to sleep and he would do so three times.
Akhee, we have been uploading the old videos through a third party and I was afraid that if I sign in and out, it would interrupt the uploading process.
The lesson we can learn is to assume best about Muslims and give them the benefit of the doubt.
Brother, I have a question....this is what the Sufis claim that the Prophet (SAW) said: "The gnostics are the inheritors of prophets"......I cannot find an authentic chain of narrators at all......what is this?
the educated n practicing lot of ppl here in pakistan do listen to imran nazar hussein n believe it...exactly how is he not upon sunnah, anything particular u could quote...kindly elaborate as just saying that he's not upon sunnah is not enough...imran hossein has also studied at the darul uloom.akhi kindly answer.
Alhamdulillah, New lecture, was waiting for this one, like the way you explain, one of the best things about your lectures are we witness braveness within you.” Masha-Allaah”
May be someone should not like when you give names of particular person, but I totally agree with you. You make everything clear. Thanks a lot for your effort/time, really appreciating, May Allaah Bless you. Always...........
Assalamu'alaikum Brotherrrr, I was wondering, when you are going to do the talk on madhab, If you have already done so... May I have please the link? Thank you JazakAllah. Also I have tried to find an answer to the Question: If I were to pray the fajr Sunnah at home and then Pray Thahyathul Masjid upon arriving at the masjid, is that ok? or Should I pray the fajr Sunnah and Fardh together!! Confused :s
Here in the US the women are way more then the men...Maybe its not prevalent in KSA but wide spread through the states. The ratios are similar when it comes to Uni,Islamic lectures and Madrasa's as well...Allahu Must3an....and its sad how Muslims are so eager to make Dua for Steve Jobs and ignore the death of Islamic scholars ect who "those in control" have labeled terrorist. My iphone is filled with alot of Islamic Apps...it would have benefited him alot if he had been guided.Allahu A3lam

Assalaamu'alaykum akhi. Jazakallaahu khayran. please make du'a to Allaah that He grant me good results for my A-levels, so that I could be enrolled in the islamic university of madinah.
salam. the saying of innalillah wa inailahi rajiun is not limited to muslims only right? because usually when someone dies or any bad thing befall on someone, regardless of their religion i always say that, and yet some argued that it is only limited to muslims. please advice. jazakallah khair
Tahir-ul-Qadri aka Snake-ul-Islam had a singer at his birthday party. He also celebrated Christmas with a Christian-they cut a cake and lit candles. How do these posers sleep at night???
Salam aleykom, i wish you'd clear up the subject of people calling eachother "madkhalis" and hizbis, i'm really confused and this seems to cause major fitnah between muslims. Is there a posibility for such a lecture?
Jazakallahu Khairan for answering my questions brother.... And the lecture was MaShahAllah too good! May Allah reward you for this! I'm sorry but can you please answer my last question:
I have read that the view of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah regarding Yazid ibn Muawiah is moderate in which we neither praise him nor curse him unlike others so is it right to call him as Radhi Allahu Anhu wa Arda? Is it not like praising him?
@OneWayToParadise So ,I should not refer to myself as a "sunni", if someone asks "what am I"..should I just say Muslim or "sunni Muslim"...maybe I am over thinking it. Where did the word "sunni" come from anyway.Alhamdulila , I am upon the Quran and Sunnah, so should calling yourself Muslim be enough.
You have explained regarding calling the prophet saw as dead. I do agree that the prophet saw is not alive but I have read a fatwa on islam-qa that we should not call the martyrs and prophets as 'dead' inspite of them being not alive. Please explain.
@OneWayToParadise Asalam alykum. Could you please provide some examples of hadith that sheikh Imran uses that is not hassan? Is this what you mean by he is not upon the sunnah or is there more to it than unauthentic hadeeth quotations?
@OneWayToParadise , asalamu alaikom wa rahmatuAllah ya habeeb , hayyakaAllah u forgot this ayah when you were talking about the death of rasulullah sallaAllahu3alaihi wa sallam , which refutes totally those who say he ( sallaAllahu3alaihi wa sallam ) has not died : 'Innaka Mayyitun Wa 'Innahum Mayyitūn - fi suratu az zumar , ayah 30 , Truly you will die (one day), and truly they (too) will die (one day).
No one blocked your comment Akhee. Comments have to be approved first since I got used to having people come and curse me out and I don't wish for my brothers and sisters to read their filth.
lol. Refuting Tahir Al-Qadri should only take 1 minute of speech. As I saw on a video recently he unveiled a dead man from his grave, and kissed his forehead. His followers claimed that he was sending blessings to him in the grave. And then he put pieces of the clothe from the ka'aba over the eyes of the deceased person. He takes the Ummah back to pagan worship.
All I can say is this brother delivers!!! Jazakullah khair bro. Very informative lecture, authentically referenced with the usual real world parables and examples to drive the points home. What more can you ask for? Already looking forward to part 2!
May Allah bless you and facilitate your affairs InshAllah.
The Beloved Prophet (Salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "Allah will never allow my Ummah to unite upon misguidance and incorrect beliefs. Allah's mercy, blessings and protection are with the largest group of Muslims. And he who deviates from this largest group of Muslims will be thrown into Hell." (Sunan Al Tirmizi Vol.2 Pg.39)
may Allah reward you with goodness..increase you and i in knowledge and give us the will to implement the things we learn in our life ..ameen

1. Where is the place you referred to in 1:06:35
2. I am guessing hadeeth mentioning Khorasan is not authentic?
3. So Palestine will only be returned to the Muslims at the time of the rule of the Mahdi?

If anyone were to have been saved from death, the best of Allah's creation- Muhammad (SAW)- would have been saved from it:
Verily, you [Muhammad] will die, and verily, they [too] will die.

Sunni as in "not Shii" otherwise, there is no need for it. It is used in contrast with Shia.
