Why, oh why does one try to convince me that Crime and Punishment is some kind of sob story made by Merchant and Ivory[although I really adore Howards End and The room with a view] It should be punished cause it is real crime!
there is a Russian adaptation of Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment, directed by Lev Kulidzhanov (1969).. And it's on dvd (3 discs). I've seen it and it's just great!

I found a copy of the music too! I've been trying to practice it but it would have helped if I had taken piano lessons.
