The sights and sounds of my childhood. You don't know how awesome it was to be 5 hears old, standing on the platform when the Portland Rose pulled in.

We knew the passenger trains schedules and always listened for the whistles. There was a real live signalman posted at Fir Street to stop traffic when a train would come. Thanks for posting this.
