  • Hi I am just wondering I am a little confuse about the following lens, other than the reflective color what are the difference between, 24k Gold Iridium, Gold Iridium and Fire Iridium? (Esp. Polarized Gold and Fire Iridium) Because it was pretty hard to spot the difference in the lens tint

  • @evochan the gold iridium is a brown based lens with gold undertone, the 24k is more reflective and the same color all the way through. the fire iridium has blends of yellow and red depending on how the light hits it

  • it didn't even glow..

  • If the Frogskins had the gold stripe that the Jupiter has, they would even nicer.

  • thanks you are really helpful i have been thinking about getting frogskins, jupiters or holbrooks seeing them together are really really helpful

  • i'm selling my Frogskins

    cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320718631538

  • Which of the 2 are better?

  • ray ban forever

  • Rayban wayfarer FTW!

  • sir, how about the sizes of the lens and the frame?

  • can you buy the jupiters in stores other than the oakley store?

  • @bammbamm012345 i think Sunglass Hut might carry them as well

  • @eyespy0099 thanks

  • @eyespy0099 they do thats where i got mine

  • would you sell those frogskins?

  • @MrLaxbro2 Unfortunately not sorry

  • Hi, is it possible to switch lenses for the frogskins? i've got a black frame now with just the standard black polarized lenses, and im totally happy with them but i was wondering if it's possible to change them if i want to in the future, or would i have to buy another pair?

  • @timitee1000 unfortunately oakley doesn't make replacement lenses for the frogskins so if you do want to change the color you have to buy another pair

  • very informative, thank you so much.

  • @FormerlyKnownAsShun thanks for watching

  • I would like to buy one of those frogskin sunglasses for the look, I want to see the brigther I can, would like to wear those always (day and night), any tip on the lens I need to pick?

  • @RoamusMikael well frogskins are pretty rare and usually only come in specific colors and mainly dark lenses. i think right now the best lens for what you say you want to use it for would be the bronze polarized one. I know that one is more readily available

  • For me, the polarized lens reduces more glare, so if you want a jupiter or frogskin for a calm sport like golf or watersports, get the polarized lens. If you need a lounge glasses, get the irridium lens. I have both lenses and they both work for whatever I am doing, though, so it doesn't make much difference

  • Does a white plastic oakley frame turns to yellow in a long run?

  • @blue3green2 no it doesn't. i have never had that happen or seen it happen

  • I have the clear with violet jupiters, they r really nice. Then i received the spy haymakers. They are better and I recommend them, however the jupiters are still fantastic.

  • @supernicewitit that's cool. i don't have any experience on the spy brand but i've seen some that look pretty cool

  • can u make a vid looking through the 24k jupiters? like a sunny day outside and inside a building for indoor condition...

  • Thank you, but what about the ruby iridium lenes are they see through? Thank you once again.

  • @Soldier22Jake no, the ruby lens is dark as well. anything with iridium should hide your eyes when in direct sunlight

  • Do your eyes become visable when the sun shines on the Oakley Jupiter lenes?

  • @Soldier22Jake it depends on which color lens. the 24K is pretty dark and the iridium (mirror) coating doesn't let your eyes be seen.

  • i wonder why oakley doesnt make as many frogskins as necessary....?

  • @yucatanfire it's probably to keep the demand and interest high

  • man i wish frogskins were still being made

  • @dawnuld they actually still make them but in limited quantities, that's why they always say sold out on the web site.

  • awesome, i went with the jupiter because of this video thanks :]

  • @shummyshum good to hear, thanks for watching

  • i want those glow in the dark ones hahaha thatd be so legit

  • @ComradeII they are pretty cool

  • @eyespy0099 whered you get them at? Plus i cant find any replacement lenses for mine? Id like some purple ones hehe do you know where to go?

  • @ComradeII i got the glow in the dark ones several years ago when they first came out, they are unfortunately discontinued by now. as for replacement lenses, you have to contact oakley directly because they don't readily make replacement lenses for the frogskins.

  • glow in the dark SUNglasses thats usefull

  • @ddmsk8ter37 lol it's more of a novelty thing

  • @eyespy0099 hahaha i agree

  • hahah alrite2..i get it now..thanks a lot man...thanks for ur time..u da best!

  • so are u saying that jupiter is a bit bigger than the frogskin

when it sits on the face?

    thanks

  • @catfarishsux the occular part of the frame, the part that covers your eyes, is a bit bigger on the jupiters. the way it sits on your face is that it wraps more than the frogskins which sit almost flat. I hope i'm making sense lol.

  • hey, 1 more thing...

in the video, i can't really compare the size between these 2 glasses..

But from what i saw, jupiter is slightly smaller than the frogskin rite?

    thanks.

  • @catfarishsux the jupiter is a bit larger bit it curves more so it doesn't sit as straight as the frogsking does on the face.

  • do gascan and fuel cell

  • can you do gascan vs fuel cell

  • u shud be the employee of the month man...nice one..

  • @catfarishsux lol thanks

  • Hey, great video! I'm thinking of ordering a pair of frogskins with a bronze lens on the internet so I got some questions. How do the bronze lens look like in sunlight? Will you be able to see your eyes really clear or is it reflecting the sunlight good?

    Thanks in advance,

    r00wan

  • @r00wan The bronze lens is a good lens but better suited for medium sunny days because they let in about 16% of sunlight so they increase contrast. In direct sunlight you will be able to see your eyes since they do not have an Iridium coating (mirror) to reflect the light. If you like the bronze look I would recommend checking out the gold iridium or the titanium iridium (my favorite lens color by the way)

  • @eyespy0099 Ah okey. The thing is that I want a special model (polished rootbeer) and it only comes with bronze lens. But you can replace the lens if you want right?

  • @r00wan Unfortunately Oakley is not making replacement lenses for the frogskins, so pretty much what you see is what you get, unless of course you buy two pairs and then switch the lenses between them lol. I do suggest if you can get your hands on any frogskins to go ahead and do so because they sell out pretty quickly and are only produced in limited runs.

  • @eyespy0099 Will do indeed!

  • which in your opinion is smexier?

  • @KingWixo Smexier? well if you mean sexier I would have to say the Jupiter. It has sleeker legs and it wraps better. The Frogskin is more of a fun frame to wear to the beach.

  • can you do a video on how to remove frame scratches on the oakley sunglasses?

polished blacks seems to attract scratches easily

  • @iannil sorry, there is no real way to remove scratches from either the frame or the lenses. My suggestion is always keep them in the micro fiber bag they came in when not in use.

  • the one frame did not glow u kno that rite?

  • @itsrainingcatsanddog lol no, I had no idea and no one had said anything. Thanks for pointing that out, maybe i'll make a follow up video and show that, sorry.

  • @eyespy0099 no u dont hav to i was just wondering if u knew that

  • thanks man. this video was super helpful
