it looks great but for future models the bolter is attached to the hip you can see it in all of the games!

how do you get the bleached bone even? cause mine it always shows brushmarks

@imperialkitty I thin the paint down a lot so that it is just a little thicker than milk and I put on an even coat. The first one is so thin that it just looks like a film over the primer. Then I put on a second coat and a third. I wait for each one to dry completely. The key is THIN paint.

I like the flexability of codex marines so I play Blood Ravens. The blood angels are also a great army with lots of fluff. They are an assault army and very tuff. I have both armies. I have never played the blood angels. I will always choose blood ravens.

Sorry I didn't see this comment. This bolter in holster came from the attack bick sprue. The side car sprue I believe. I think you could probably make one out of green stuff easily. Hope that helps

For the kneeling I just used the legs off the command sprue. for the sword pointing down I cut the arm at the wrist and turned the blade to what I thought would be the limit of his flexibility. So not 90 degrees more like 45 degrees... Hope that makes sense

I put the link to that in the upper right. The legs are from the command sprue. they are already kneeling. I did cut the chainsword wrist so that it would be at the correct angle...

SPOILER ALERT BLOOD RAVENS NOVEL

LOL... thanks for keeping me on track. I plan to do it in ashen waste or like the bike bases I did. I am working out a display base/table that is from a scene in the second Book in the Blood Ravens series. They are fighting the Eldar outside their fortress and the volcano errupts and covers them in pyroclastic flows and then rivers of lava pour down onto the battlefield, while the necro rise up from the ground and start killing everyone...LOL love it love it...

The bolter is from the Raven Wing bike box... I think. I am pretty sure it comes on the upgrade sprue.
