@setsallset Not trying to argue. The 'Asia' suffix just denotes the series is the kickboxing/muay thai version opposed to the traditional boxing one. Doesn't mean 'ASIA = everyone in the show is asian'. Thats what I am going by.

This Contender asia is stupid! Are there even any thai fighters? I could put any of the fighters in season 2 into a ring with a lumpinee champion and hands down they will lose. Its contender asia for god sake, the best of the best! Most of the fighters I dont even know. What happened to, saenchai, petrosyan, saiyok, kaew, buakaw and etc. How are u going to have an art like muay thai and bring someone in with hardly no experience when u have plenty of better fighters out there?

@031ish actually it's not about the best ofthe best - have you watched the boxing one? It's about putting in up and coming fighters and finding the best amongst them and giving him a shot AT the big time.

it looks like season 2 is not going to happen. I saw an interview with duane bang ludwig who was surposed to be competing on the season and he said they were all sent back home and he hasnt heard anything since.

we were at evolution 17 and that french guy stephan fox said it was in the final stages of editing and should be going to air on on fox soon, that was sept. last year.

it all sounds like bullshit to me, such a shame considering how good the first one was

yeah it is such a shame after how well the first season went . But im pretty sure it's not going to happen duane ludwig said in his interview that he was called out there and they started filming but they got sent home and were told they would be contacted when they were starting again and didn't contact him so i think it was called off. I was at the U.K contender event for who goes in from U.K was a great show.
