My partner did English at Westminster while I did English at UCL. She always received feedback for her assignments late and was often not very helpful. My essay feedback was always prompt and very helpful. People thinking about applying to particular universities should not believe marketing lies like we see above. Go to UNISTATS. Compare what students say about their courses (Nat student survey). You can compare promptness of feedback for Westminster (56%) with UCL (100%). Go see for yourselves!
This video is laughable.Maybe people thinking about studying at Westminster would like to know why Westminster's students voted it as the WORST university in Britain (I am one of them. You can Google 'Harrow Times Westminster' for full story). Yep, there are some good lecturers, but there are many so-sos and a few real cretins here. There is NO social life considering it IS a London university with a campus in Regent Street and one next to Madame Tussauds. What a mistake I made!
I am a foreign trained Architect & I work as a draft for a Architectural firm in Canada. I have the greatest opportunity teaching Architectural Graduates from Canadian Universities to draft and to use AutoCAD. One would think drafting is an basic tool all Architects would be taught; not in Canada. Pride has it's down fall and I can see the Canadian Experience being put to shame and is a disgrace. Canadians have a very low education and skills.
to be fair uni is what you make it, its not the job of the lecturers to get you into the uni and make it enjoyable. you have to do that. i remember when i came to the uni a teacher said " if you dont to be here then grab yourself a cup of coffee and get out, but if you want to learn then hang around and you might enjoy this" 3 boys got up and left and they never came back.
to be fair. most lecturers are really pationate..! so you will like some and some not. but hey THAT'S LIFE. we cant always have people we like around us. try and make the most of it. and westminster uni will be looooaaadsss of FUN...

@lamchee58 Lectures are awesome, especially technical studies. Cultural context i lectures are good as well. Tutorials however are hell. If you can deal with criticism, then you might just cope.
I never met professor John Flood (I was IT student), so I cannot comment on his talk in video of bringing real world example in teaching process. However never such thing occurred in my studies. Many examples been shallow, study materials been out of date and some teachers actually hated modules they been teaching.
There is long road ahead of me to catch on knowledge and experience of students from different universities. Sorry to say, but IT department is bellow standard...
Everything said from 2:00 - 2:30 is all LIES. LIES. LIES. in fact the complete opposite of everything he says is true. i know trust me, UNFORTUNATELY i go to this university.
Don't go here - its robbery. You don't receieve what you paid for.
Thanks for your comment, this is a good point and we take it on board - across the full range of our videos we reflect the whole University, and try to avoid any conscious tokenism when making an individual film. Hopefully the range of videos in our channel address your point, but we will keep an eye on this. Rob (web team)

Very nice video but as I know the University of Westminster is a multicultural working environment and I would expect this video to reflect that.
