This a great video. McCain uses his POW card whenever someone points out that he screws up. He has been given a pass all the way through, and it is mind boggling
I'm not patriotic at all. I haven't been proud of this country for years. I was proud of many of the things that we have done in this country for so many years. No a days I am not proud of this country. I feel that I can't be proud of this country because we are losing our freedoms and some people are trying to give up even more. When we legalize things that don't hurt anyone like gay marriage, and get out of Iraq, maybe then I can be prouder of this country again. Until then, I can't. I won't!
Makaisenki: If you hate America, why don't you do us all a favor and leave? You could try a nice socialist paradise like North Korea. Let's see how long they put up with your whining!
Well I don't do favors for nothing. If you'd like me to leave, just tell me. I will gladly set up a donation account on paypal that will allow people to donate a single dollar or change or more if they so desire. If you really want me to leave this country, then 3000 people paying 1 dollar is all that it takes. I'll even donate what I don't use to Doctors without borders. If you want me to leave put your money where your mouth is cause frankly I don't have any right now. :P Sounds fair to me :D
There is not a single damn excuse for saying that Gays shouldn't get married without invoking the word GOD or directly talking about RELIGION. Repressing anyone's rights on basis of religion is against the fucking constitution you dumb ass mother fuckers. Quit telling me that it's alright to fucking bastardize all the fucking foundations this country was built upon then telling me I should be proud of all the shit this country is doing wrong. Example WE SHOULDN"T BE AT WAR. I"M RIGHT YOUR WRONG!
Can anyone imagine the founding fathers sitting around a table while makaisenki complains to them that she is not proud of this country because the govt. won't endorse gay marriage? Does anyone else see them scratching their heads?
How am I a she? We all have the inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We are all men created equal and church and state are to be seperated. Getting married has tax benefits, but the church doesn't want gays to marry. that's against the constitution. Denying someone rights that do not infringe upon your rights what so ever, is one of the core foundational ideas of this country. So tell me why shouldn't I be disgusted with how far we are falling away from our ideals?
Oops, you kinda bitch like one. The church? Really? No makaisenki, it's the "people" that don't want gay marriage. Even in California (among the most liberal states) they voted in a referendum to not allow gay marriage by a significant vote. So, wasn't democracy one of our ideals? Do you want to castrate "the peoples" vote? That doesn't sound very democratic. Come on man, don't make this sound like all you're concerned with is the constitution. We know that's crap.
Tell me 1 single non chuch ideal behind not allowing gays to marry. Just name 1.
When a pastor stands up and says "THIS IS AN ABOMINATION AGAINST GOD! GOD HATES THESE PEOPLE" then YES it IS CHURCHES.
People wouldn't be thinking that way if not for the churches. Tell me who is more likely to be mad at homosexuals. Religious people? Or a non religious person? Frankly most non religious people don't give a damn.
Oh and also America was attempted to be designed so that the rights of the few don't get bastardized by the majority. We are NOT a democracy. We are a republic. That's why when you pledge to the flag you say "To the republic for which it stands" You don't know politics if you think we are a real democracy. Our senate house is represented by a proportional amount of representatives. If people passed a law saying it's illegal to be non-christian, would that be American? OF COURSE NOT! You mooncalf
We are a democratic republic. Don't try to break bad on me. Stop getting angry and relax with THE CAPS DAMMMMIIIT!!! Geez, chill. What did you think with the Greeks pure democracy, they crammed millions of them into a parthenon? Representation does not set us outside the definition of a democracy. Our constitution and congress' handling of that constitution is what adds the republic element. Leave the political science to me.
Besides, makaisenki, most people are fine with civil unions for gay couples, which pretty much include the benefits you are speaking of. But, did you know that the word "marriage" is central to what gay pride is fighting for? They want that word because they want a state/civil endorsement that being gay is normal and healthy; but most people don't believe it is. See, gay "rights" activist are the ones trying to shove things down peoples throats. (no pun intended).
Gay "rights" activist, as far as the marriage thing is concerned, are not ultimately seeking the rights. They have proven this by pushing aside the civil union thing. What they *demand* is the wholesale normalization of homosexuality. By the Government and it's governed. And, quite frankly, that is what pisses me off. Because I don't personally believe it is "normal/healthy" behavior. Hey, you're concerned about rights, right? isn't that mine?
I fully believe it's normal/healthy/ and NATURAL. My dog used to hump male dogs. Many apes will pleasure each other with the same sexual body parts. Do you know what a hermaphrodite is? Who are they supposed to have sex with? Telling 2 people that love each other that they can't get married while Brittany Spears divorces after 58 hours and 20 year olds marry 80 year olds for money, is just fucking wrong. PERIOD. Enlighten me. How is it YOUR right to tell people what harmless acts they can not do
Letting gays get married. Who does it REALLY affect, who does it REALLY harm, and tell me how you are going to prove that a woman falling in love with a woman, or a man falling in love with a man hurts people. There are men born into the world as females and females born into the world as men. Unless you ARE someone that has desires different than the societal norm, who the fuck are you to tell them that what they feel in their heart is wrong, and should not be allowed. This is about compassion!
You know what, makaisenki, you don't want to have a reason based argument, you want to have an emotional one. you refuse to meet my questions and points head on and instead, start flailing your arms and ranting. I don't have the energy for this.
Your questions? What questions? I answered any questions I I thought you had. So tell me what questions you asked that I didn't answer. My argument is based on both reason, and emotion. If you want to email me a list of questions and concerns I will answer and reply to each one of them. 500-1000 character arguments on a comment section really isn't a place to discuss this anyway. Of course I flail my arms and rant, when I see injustice and persecution I get angry and want to correct the injustic
I'm not gonna repeat them, they are in the text. I was trying to have a back and forth. i don't presently have a list of Q. and concerns but if I did, I probably wouldn't send them to you. I mean, I mean you no harm; you seem like a compassionate guy. i would just work on finding the line between true compassion and vain sentiment.
Well that's your issue. I don't think it's a vain sentimate. I just do not see any reason to not let gays marry other than "God said so" and to me that is the first thing you can do to have a failing argument. I dont' really want to have a back and forth on this. Mostly because I know a lot of bisexuals who get really offended at the fact that they can marry the boyfriend they're with, but if that doesn't work and they fall in love with a female they couldn't marry. I find no reason to deny them
You don't want to have a back and forth, huh? You just wanted to get the last argument in .....or. Oh, ok -you just want to talk shit about people who don't wish to endorse gay marriage with their vote and not be called on it. That's not the way this forum works. Maybe you could start a website and only allow people who agree with you to post. Then you'll have your own little "cyber"-country you can be proud of.
By the way, look back through my post. Have I mentioned God once in our back and forth? Now look through yours and see how many times you mention God. Maybe you are the one with the God complex friend.
When has anyone claimed that military service alone makes you a good person, or patriotic? The only reason to push a story like that is to denigrate the troops. Period.
Also, McCain opposed the GI bill because, as written, it would encourage troops to leave the service too early. The war is still ongoing & we don't want to lose too many soldiers. The fact that Dems are using that against him is also revolting & dishonest.
And McCain crashed 5 planes? So what? He's running for prez, not pilot.
What a revolting video. Does anyone with a brain really believe John McCain doesn't love this country? Please.
It's nice to see that the people in this video ARE proud of America, but it's too bad that so many Democrats (Michelle Obama, for example) do not.
And it's interesting that the video concludes with the text "US Soldier throws puppy off a cliff." What's the point of that, if not to denigrate our troops?
It's disgusting, but typical from today's liberals.
US Soldier throws a puppy off of a cliff is there to show that military service alone DOES NOT make you a good person, or patriotic. I also noticed how you did not mention McCain opposing the GI Bill, McCain crashing 5 planes, McCain not caring when our troops come home, McCain's infamous anger, etc. I don't know if McCain loves this country or not. His economic plans, education plans, health care plans, and foreign policy makes me wonder...
And furthermore... a) lots of presidents have had bad tempers. b) McCain doesn't care when our troops come home? Surely, you don't seriously believe that. And c) I'm not crazy about many of McCain's policy proposals, either. He's much too into big gov't for my tastes. But I can't imagine how any serious person could really think the man's not a true patriot.
He was never tortured in Vietnam. Even in the years since Vietnam, has has confirmed many things which he said on the Propagada tapes (including personally killing women and children).
Snailtail: Yes, McCain WAS tortured in Vietnam. He was beaten regularly, and spent over two years in solitary confinement. I don't know where you're getting your other info from, but it's almost certainly bogus, too.
Lying about John McCain isn't gonna do anyone any good, so just stop it already, OK?
Does this idiot know that it was regular procedure in Vetnam POW camps to torture people to get them to sign confessions? Why are you talking like you are informed. You are just a monkey slinging shit at people through your cage.
Let me ask you a question bigred. You're in vietnam fighting a war (hypothetically). A woman runs up to a helicopter full of wounded soldiers with a grenade in hand. Do you shoot her before she reaches it or do you let her reach the chopper carrying your brothers-in-arms? (don't even try that, "those are made up stories" shit/ if you do though, I'll know you are just childish) And please have the fortitude to answer the question instead of ducking it, you little weasel.
Ok, bigred, so you are telling me that McCain (I presume that is who you mean when you say McBush) admitted on some campaign trail that 'he murdered innocent women and children who posed him no threat in cold blood. He admitted that -in public -in 2000 -in front of news cameras? Or was he speaking just to you?
Correct, McCain = McBush. I do not recall who he said it to, but if you take a look on Google, you should probably be able to find some news stories about it.
it does make you patriotic without a doubt. defenitely does not make you a good peroson, but if you risk your life for this country it makes you pretty damn patriotic. i dont know how you could be more patriotic. i disagree with both mccain and obama ALOT trust me. I wished there was another choice that actually had a chance.
I know people that hate this country that served in the war simply because they didn't think there was any other way to get through college or to make some decent money to help support their family. At the same time I've seen some people come back from this war hating America more than ever. Patriotism isn't a black and white aspect. It's rediculous to generalize patriotism. I would say the most patriotic people are willing to take up arms against the government in order to protect the people
