Just saw Marc Cohn concert at Fargo theater 7/20/08! Marc Cohn is AWESOME...His band AWESOME and Shane Fontayne...WOW! Was able to have c.d signed and Shane and Marc were there.

Join the Parade is Cohn's masterpiece. Rich, textured production, mature, passionate lyrics, heartfelt vocals. The conflation of the outer New Orleans story and the inner Cohn story made for one great album. Something that stands side by side with the great Levon.
I started listening to "listening to Levon" and thought...he's back!!! and then i was a little disappointed the rest of the album i didn't think it was up to the highest of Marc's standards.But now I've listened more i want more and more!!! please don't leave us another ten years without an album!!!

Agree with Shawncullen. I saw Marc in Crystal Lake, Illinois, the second of his concert tour stops. It was a night I will never forget. My fiancee and I hung around and finally got to meet Marc and thank him for his timeless music. Yes, let those songs sink in. Marc is a total blessing. Thank you Decca.
Whilst I agree with the sentiments of ozegirl, I have to say I don't think this album is up to Marc's normal standards.... after a ten year wait I really wanted to love every track the first time I heard them.
