@ thegazman1 Man, thank you for the culture. You are a gentleman for posting this superb choreography, and more-so for reminding us of The Three muskateers, 1948.
Wasn't Lana Turner the ultimate evil in this version? Phew.. I felt bad for Van Heflin..
If I had to pick one, I would say the greatest sword fight in cinema, would be from The Mark of Zorro, 1940. Tyrone Power vs. Basil Rathbone. Both could fence in real life and the speed with which they go at each other was just amazing. (check it out if you've never seen it).
For the longest time, I couldn't understand what they were saying when I was younger, but with help from my dad and closed captions, it makes a lot more sense now.
"You're using Benette's defense against me, ah?"
"I thought it fitting considering the rocky terrain."
"Naturally, you must expect to attack with Capa Fero."
"Naturally, but I find that Tybalt cancels out Capa Fero, don't you?"
"Unless the enemy has'a studied his Agrippa *boing* which I have!"
You know what sucks? I saw this movie like 5 hundred times when I was a kid and didn't understand anything they were saying because they were talking so fast, but I memorized the gist of the sounds, so when I finally understood the "i'm not left handed" thing, I had heard it so many times it didn't have the mind-blowing HOLY SHIT quotient it should have had when wesley said "I'm not left handed either."
I just love this movie. It's so romantic. It's so cool. But anyone who dresses that way (mask funny pirate napkin on his head, etc) is gay. Sorry. Don't care what Buttercup thinks. Gay.
@fletchervalentine Technically, he only says that "You must expect me to use Capo Ferro", key word being Expect, which explains why he's not actually using Capo Ferro.
fuck the three muskateers, its awful compared to the princess bride... what are you talking about?
