The second fish that you got and almost got away was funny. That somewhat happened to me, I had a 26 inch palamino on the stringer, under a good 8 pounds of rocks dug into the bank, and that sucker slipped the stringer out of the bank and got away. And that was the only palamino I have ever caught to this day...

over here in england a big pike is anything over 30 pound with the biggest recorded about 46 or summin like that. the same where you r?

those flys were some sort of cadyis mayfly wern't they they are big down here in maine especially the green drake mayfly in july best fishing of the year 20 plus pound touge and 6 or 7 pund brook trout feeding on the surface fun on a fly rod!!!!!! its true i catch suckers on worms all the time
