  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I read someone comparing a CRAPPY and SHITTY singer like Atif Aslam with the god of music Kishore kumar.

Even GOD cant create another kishore kumar.

  • Kishore is the most versatile singer on earth.Rahat is just a talented singer who can sing only 1 type of song evrytime. Have u EVER heard Rahat singing an item song, devotional song, festival song, disco song, naughty song, funny song etc.

Rahat is not even a playback singer. His songs r always used as background songs in every movie. His voice dont suit any actor's voice

Its useless to listen all the songs of rahat bcoz all his songs sounds the same. Lyrics and singing style are almost same.

  • so and so rahat is great

  • Both are great singer and sang the song perfectly respect to both country god bless !!

  • well sung by rahat and shanker both are very good singers and talented nice post thanks for sharing..............

  • WAH SHANKARji!!! WHAT VOICE GOD HAS GIVEN YOU!! Rahatji well done also. But Shankar`s voice just pierces the heart soooo much more!!!!!

  • pls keep india and pakistan out and kindly concentrate on the wonderful music..............

  • Wah Wah SubhanAllah, where can I buy this? Beautiful Ethereal singing MashAllah :)

  • IF SHANKER CAN SING ANY SONG SO WHY THEY APPORCH RAHAT

  • india pakistan must collaborate more. fuck global politics. collaboration is the way forward. cheers.

  • Shankar mahadevan is the winner. He can sing any type of songs. Rahat normally stick to his typical singing only.

  • @iamyourfriend007 No that does not mean Shankar is the winner. That's daft logic. A singer who has had say a good 6 years of proper training and is just ready for the stage AND has a versatile voice can sing many types of sings fairly well. That does not make him a better singer than an expert in any one kind of music (such as Rahat or Sonu). Quite the opposite, the one who has specific expertise is the greater singer.

Versatility is not actually important and does not determine ability.

  • @shushanto

Dude this is a typical bollywood shankar mahadevan song. This song is suiting shankar's voice much better than rahat's. Rahat is extremely talented for his genre of songs only such as maan ki lagan, teri meri meri teri, his private album etc. DONT think that shankar is an ordianry talented and versatile singer. Rahat cant even sing a kishore kumar song the way kishore has sung it. Shankar cant sing a typical rahat song and Rahat cant sing a typical shankar song.

  • so u think atif aslam or altaf raja is better than kishore kumar ?? of course if ur versatile u can switch over to any genre at any time with ease....

No doubt rahat is fabulous singer bt nt versatile as shankar......

  • @kars0509 Sorry why do you mention Atif Aslam? He is not properly trained in vocal at all as far as I have heard. I am a fan of Atif, but that doesn't mean he is a great singer. The sound of his voice is the dominant factor with Atif. And it is a similar story with Kishore, but Kishore is FAR better than Atif. Kishore is also a simple singer, not in the class of Rahat or Sonu or even other underrated singers such as Anand Raj Anand, but he is gifted and should have taken proper training.

  • @shushanto i'm glad tht u agree tht atif aslam isn't a great singer and as i said earlier tht rahat is fab singer and even kishore too.... i guess u haven't heard his(kishore da) classical stuff ... which eventually will blow u off....nd as per ur comments it seems to me that u rate rahat and sonu better than shankar...i think u have a suttle taste of music...

  • @kars0509 Actually I have never heard any classical of Kishore, could you please suggest some of his best classical songs?

A subtle taste in music? What do you mean? I rate Shankar highly as a musician, and rate him well as a singer, because he has a good knowledge of music, and has used it to train his voice.

  • @shushanto Some classical Kishore songs

Mere naina sawan bhado (Raag Shivranjani)

    Karvate badalte rahen (Raag Pahadi)

Meri bheegi bheegi si (Raag Kirvani)

Kuch To Log Kahenge (based on Raag Khamaaj)

    Payalwali Dekhna (Raag Maru Bihag)

If you want "hardcore classicals", try some of his Bengali songs

    Amar deep nebhano raat

    Noyono Sorosi Keno

I'm sure there are plenty more. Kishore was nowhere close to Manna Dey singing classical but he was definitely more versatile than Manna Dey.

  • @kars0509 But Shankar does not have a "gifted" voice, just a well-trained one. This is no insult to him as no-one can help that, but the fact that he has realised his talent for singing and trained it accordingly is of great credit to him. It is my opinion that a gifted voice is more worthy of merit than simply a well-trained one...such as Rafi's. But the combination of gift and rigorous training is superior...for instance, in my opinion, the greatest of all singers is Manna Dey.

  • @kars0509 Altaf Raja is a very good singer indeed, and is better than Atif. Kishore is different so it is difficult to compare. Until I hear a semi-classical number. Good performance of a semi-classical number is the tie-break winner for me. I am quite confused by Shankar actually. He has VERY good technique when it comes to classical vocal works, and his voice is very sweet, but when he does plain singing then it doesn't sound so great. I can't explain it.

  • @shushanto i guess u need to get ur stats right...shankar has been trainin for ages...if u think he has been trainin fr 6 yrs...then u r definately wrong.. and even sonu himself has commented tht shankar is far better singer than him ..it's just that he isn't commercially successful as he is...

  • @kars0509 I did not suggest in any way that Shankar has been training for only 6 years. If you read my more recent comments you may understand. My comment about 6 years of training was directed at versatility, not Shankar.

  • @shushanto.......... and the other reason why u are in love with rahat and sonu is because rahat is an amzing singer in his own genre and it definately suits the kind of songs he get....the high range songs with semi classical...and and sonu to an extent ..he knows how to modulate his voice accordingly ... but shankar nwdays mainly being a composer has to be choosy regardin the kind of songs he wants to sing....hence dosen't leave him with much option

  • @kars0509

  • A great move for humanity "aman ki Asha". God bless long life to both the living legends both the countries have.....thnx for giving me a life where i take the same air both these legends live on. Incredible.....

  • hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmzzzzzzzzzz.... Fantastic ... Gr8... only one singer from Pak can do this.. thats Rahat. .

  • This song moves my heart and soothes me down. I close my eyes and get consumed of the marvellous voices..... God created mankind in His own image, surely what magnificient Creator we have, subhaanAllah! Merging of artists from both countries, what a grand move. More of this..... thnx for giving me the opportunity to listen to this song, am really touched.

  • cool singing enjoy good music guys

  • in some ways nobody can beat nobody.

    both are beautiful singers!

  • Rahat Rahattt and rahat sahab.. kia baat hey ap ki..

  • with due respect siddharth please don't create such topics, yar evry singer has his own quality, its just like u saying rafi sahab is better or kishore da is better..don't do like it........just enjoy music

  • I am sure we are gonna get some comments like "Rahat sahab is better or Shanakar sahab is better" later.. indian singers are better or pakistani singers are better. I am just waiting for those comments to come.

    Enjoy the beautiful composition
