  • thanks for the video. i had the stereo out in about 5 mins. had everything back together in about 5-10 mins as well. haha the inbetween took a while. i cant believe the scosch wire harness didnt come pre stripped.

  • thanks for the video man. I was in the middle of taking off that stupid screw at the bottom corner of the glove compartment when i came back to see if there was anything online about this. I was saying the exact same thing to myself "why did honda make this so hard?!"

  • this video helped me so much dude i did this to my gfs car this thing is a fucking pig. i got a 2001 civic lx easy as hell but this theres so many screws and plugs and to much bull shit

  • Thank u man.. Help a lot

  • i was just out doing this same thing... honda was very stupid with this setup... i have to say my 95 civic is alot easier.. 2 screws and it pops out .. this thing.. u gotta strip everything down just to get at it... said alot of things the good lord didnt wanna hear but.. this would piss anyone off...lol..

  • thanks so much for this

  • it helped a lot thax bro :)

  • honda sucks

  • Swingondeezones, Am afraid not. This stock radio does not support a jack of any kind. I would recomend you get a new radio for under a hundred bucks that will support a jack even usb and sd cards that will sound far better than stock radio. Trust me you will not regret it. After i revoed this radio i installed a Pioneer BT3200 and infinity speakers, now my good old civic sounds better than my cusins infinity that has a bose system in it for a fraction of the price.

  • Pinoydude29, no any civic 2000 this one is actually an EX so it will be the exact same thing as what you have.

  • so is there a way that i can just install like a jack for my ipod without getting a stereo?? please help.

  • I'm about to do a radio install on my 2k Civic. I'm also installing a sirius sat. radio tuner...where do you think would be a good place to mount the tuner. Its about 4*4 inches.

  • If you guys ever need more help on this specific car Civic 2000 i have more videos on work done like mass airflow Dashboard lights etc.

  • Dude. Thank you. You rock and so now I can too!

  • Nice helpful video, thanks.

  • Great video

  • dang I have to do all that! I just wanted to take out the stereo i have now so I can put in an aux cord into the back. Do I still have to do everything?

  • @pinoydude29 Yes unless you have really small hands and a mirro tool and do research of the specific radio you need to add the cable to so you know where it is in the back you can do it but it will be tight to work on. As long as you have the time you will only need to remove the front panel and give it a few tries. If you cant get to it then you have no choice but to remove it all or live without the input addition.

  • @Rockanimal777 is it only for a specific kind of 2000 Civic? I have an EX Coupe

  • Thank you for posting

  • thanks!

  • for the left final screws of the radio, the AC controls will not let you get to the screws

  • not good instruction, you did not show how to remove the box at first?

  • I just bought a Dual XHD7714. Will I still need to buy a wiring harness and dash kit, or will the wiring harness included suffice? Thanks for the tutorial, much appreciated!

  • i totally agree. this one, me and my dad had to figure it out. doesnt even show in the book.

  • There are blue and brown connectors in the back of the bottom dash, connecting to the radio. Could you explain unplugging them?

  • thanks for the help, the box on mine couldnt come out, it was held by screws.

  • thanks it really beats spending alot of money when u can do it yourself thanks.

  • Thanks! I'm going to do this tomorrow...

  • Glad to help.

  • thanx i was having a lot of trouble but it should be easy know
