  • Look at the video Jing Song - Qua Cau Gio Bay . The Dan Bua has a sort of bamboo resonance chamber at the base of the rod which doesn't exist on the Duxianqin. Also the Duxianqin's rod is much more curved. Close family resemblance, but not twins.

  • Many instruments including the erhu are not of Chinese origin. The word erhu means instrument of the barbarian which suggests it is foreign to the Chinese- yet now it is said to be Chinese and also called the Chinese violin when theoretically it isn't true. The same goes with the duxian qin, it is first recorded in Guangdong province which was at the part of time, the land of the Hundred tribes of Yue, the ancestors of Vietnamese people and therefore is NOT a Chinese plucked instrument.

  • The whole most southern part of China including Hainan province were belonging to the 100 tribes of Yue who were the ancestors of the Vietnamese people. Many inventions have come from this region like the crossbow, cultivating wet rice, bronze furnacing etc. which have been assimalated into Chinese culture and is now said to be Chinese which in fact it theoretically isn't.

  • Pretty much everything in the piece of land strip called Vietnam today originated from the northern region, which is China. Even the language there was various Chinese dialects. You got your so-called Vietnamese language after the French colonization. For the most part, Vietnam to China in the past thousand years was not much different from what Guam or Puerto Rica is to the USA today. You may not like the Chinese, but face the history like a man.

  • @xrayatnight

If you were to say that everything from Vietnam belongs to Vietnam it would make no sense at all. Yes, we have borrowed some of Chinese culture but we have also gave them some of ours. It doesn't mean because a country is powerful, mighty or big that it automatically is the inventor of everything around the region. IF IT WERE TRUE, AMERICAN CULTURE WOULD BE BRITISH AND BRITISH CULTURE WOULD BE ROMAN AND ROMAN CULTURE WOULD BE GREEK AND GREEK CULTURE WOULD BE EHTIOPIAN.

  • yeah, It's a Dan Bau, exactly is Đàn Bầu, a Vietnamese nation instrumental, It's ours, not yours motherfuckers chinese fuckin' Idiotass.

  • @Windy4rockin PS take a easy man! All the musical instruments from the regions are sharing and playing in the world. Are we (people in the earth) thieves?

  • @12tongtech

Yeah, ino ino, but instead of just play the instrument which's called "đàn bầu" and enjoy that amazing FOREIGN musical instrument, you chinese fucking renamed it, change it and telling everybody that this is a chinese traditional fucking instrumental. Are you all unhappy with your own instrumentals? They're all sound like shit arent they? Idiot thieves!

  • @Windy4rockin dude are u fucking serious? i dont think u realise what a retard u are. many japanese, korean, vietnamese instruments have chinese origins or are pretty much the same just with a different name depending on the country. but in your eyes these countries stole chinese instruments and renamed it. as a chinese im really offended and surprised. have u heard of koto, Đàn tranh, or Gayageum? alll from the CHINESE guzheng. believe me theres many many many more. truth hurts doesnt it...

  • @Windy4rockin ur just an uneducated fucker. eat shit and die.... seriously, ur really retarded like really really really retarded. (sorry i took it easy on him guys)

  • @Windy4rockin you should go to hell. just shut the fuck up and enjoy.....geez

  • Jingzu and zhuangzu are both BAI YUE

Jingzu and Zhuangzu are brother in Bai Yue.

  • 12tongtech. You see "Chinese sources describe it as being an instrument of the Jing (also spelled Gin or Kinh) ethnic group of China, who are ethnic Vietnamese" Kinh is Vietnamese, they just went from VietNam to China, Dan Bau is an instrument of King, Duxianqin is similiar to Dan Bau. How could it be invented in China ?

  • @nguyenthu12 I got the info from Google. thanks for telling me.

  • 12tongtech I appreciate your traditional instrument. But We should have an exact knowledge about the origin of Duxianqin

  • @nguyenthu12 The duxianqin (独弦琴, pinyin: dúxiánqín; lit. "lone string zither") is a Chinese plucked string instrument with only one string. It is played using harmonics, with the string's tension varied by the use of a flexible rod manipulated with the left hand.

The duxianqin is nearly identical to the Vietnamese đàn bầu, from which it is likely derived. Chinese sources describe it as being an instrument of the Jing (also spelled Gin or Kinh) ethnic group of China, who are ethnic Vietnamese.

  • OK! May I see your trustworthy information ? I agree with you that Vietnamese and Chinese has the root but Dan Bau was invented in Vietnam. Vietnamese invited Danbau in 10th century after we hadbeen independent from china in 948 AD

  • The reason for the parallel structure of Dan Bau and DuXian Qin is because the Dan Bau was brought over when the Jing people, ethnically Vietnamese, fled to China in the sixteenth century

  • @nguyenthu12: I do not think so, maybe in other way from China to Vietnam. because the root of Vietnamese people were from China.

  • this is sound pretty much the same as dan bau

  • @GuardianDemonX because it is a dan bau.

  • how would this be different from the vietnamese dan bau??
