That album was one of my favorite too being a member of the Church. I love "In The Beginning" is my favorite song off the album. We listened to it over and over and over again. I have to find it!
Thanks for your post. I have my original "The "Plan" album from the 70"s. My husband bought me one of those new record players that look vintage. You can play records, cd's, and cassets on them. My Plan album has some scratches on them, so I bought The Plan on cd. Great story. I did not understand the album when I was younger, but as I grew older and I did join the Latter Day Saint church, it means so much more to me. Thanks for you post.
Johnlds1965: Great story.. thanks for sharing! God works in great ways doesn't He and through people many times.
I got a generic Osmond email a few days ago from Alan talking about the book his brother Virl wrote about their mom, Olive. On a whim, I thought I would hit respond and ask Alan or whoever was doing the mail for Alan to write a book ( Jay has one coming out in '10).. 10 minutes later I had an email back from Alan saying he is working on his book now... Cool that they may answer!
i wish i could somehow post a scan of the cover here to share with the rest of you.

by the way, they were really great and down to earth guys ... and still are .... got a mail from alan recently - he's suffering from multiple sclerosis and leads an ms-charity organisation.
What a wonderful blessing to have the Osmonds sign your copy of the Plan. It's such an inspired album, love it. Was so glad to have come across it again in such a special way for me. Thanks for your comments. All the best, John.
John, probably a similar age to your mum, I have my original 70s The Plan stll, and it's always been my absolute most favourite album ever. The lyrics have the ability to uplift one moment while sending hot tears cascading down my cheeks at the next. Play it at high volume and sing along for best effect - and enjoy the musical genius that is and was, the Osmond brothers.
Thank You John 4 Sharing This Video About The Osmond's The Plan. I Love The Osmond's And Have Been A LifeLong Fan Of Their's. I Am Looking Forward To Watching More Of Your Video's. BTW, I Am A LDS Also....Donna
best album I own. I still listen to it all the time. it's available on CD now, too. I love it. from start to finish. I think it's the best concept album ever made.

hi john
loved your story ...
i've still got my original "the plan" and was so fortunate to spend time with the osmond family on the two occasions they were in denmark.
of all albums, "the plan" was the one i got them all to sign.
