photorams65 - this is candlepin bowling, played only in New England and a couple Canadian provinces. Balls are about the size of a softball with no finger holes, pins are tall & skinny, you get three shots per frame rather than two like in tenpins, and deadwood is not cleared & remains in play (sometimes that helps, other times the wood can be a roadblock...
