I am not much of a reader, and I have only read about five books in my 38 years of life, but this is by far the best book I've ever read. I love it and I don't want it to end. I don't know if I will, but I should probably read it twice because I'm not sure that I got everything I should have out of it. I've taken a long time to get to the point where Khan dies, and I've probably forgotten/skipped things that I shouldn't have. I am interested in going to India. I love this book.
@anthonygareth Glad you enjoyed as much as I did. Truly amazing book. A movie has been in the works for years but I can't imagine it. It has been a year since I read it but many scenes are still vivid. Powerful book.
@bjarkeolsen Thanks for the comment. I believe I was referring to Barnes & Noble book store for purchase. But the people of India did show a certain nobility.
This book is a must read for all people with the least bit of interest in India and how love, sacrifice and redemption combine. I have read it three times and will read it at least three times more. Shabash....Shabash...Shabash!
Ah, what an interesting story. I like those comments you read and typed in the comments. The first one on page 504 really stands out to me.Thanks for sharing :)
@ouREvilone Remembering Karla is a cynic, there is another quote that made me think of you and search for happiness. Karla: "Happiness is a myth. It was invented to make us buy things:. :-)
