  • i'm afraid to say it ,but, they were damn good in the 5 man era too ! before the piano player .

  • unbelievably good. R.I.P. Brother B. O.

  • shivers and goosebumps...

  • Super great

  • Just one guitarist here people = incredible !!!

  • Anybody read the book, Midnight Riders? I liked it better than No Saints No Saviors. It left me with a bad vibe for Dickey. A lot of people villify him but I still appreciate his contribution to the ABB, music in general, and my life. On the other hand, tend to kiss his ego a little much. I dont know him so I cant say he's an asshole. I love Great Southern too! High Falls may be my fav ABB song. But they did fire him! He can't be...well, let's not be cynical.

  • The only rock band I'll keep on listening now and for ever. Great!

  • And to think Dicky had to carry the load........they were the most musically accomplished band in the land and they were THE measuring stick to all Sourthern bands. God they good!!!!!!!

  • aw wow, roll on man, roll on...

  • berry was so awesome, playing melody, harmony, rhythm, and lead all at the same on the bass. his likes will never be seen or heard of again. thanks berry for all the great music.

  • @rorygg1 No shit Mountain Jam is fucking epic!

  • Man. To think that everytime they played this arrangement and that Duane was gone, how they must've felt.

    ...and then Berry is gone...

  • ohh man and redemption at the end...wow - Gregg changes the lyrics "...that there is just no such thing as dying..." pulls the spirit right back into it - crowd band and all - Dickie has gotten possessed and it was great seeing Berry get into it there but his last show - dear lord I'm still sad about all this 40 years later - bitter sweet - I'm with Impala 327...

  • Hey Dave ...How's Halifax?

No really...was this on Kirshner's Rock Concert.?..I think I remember this one..

  • where you get the video?

  • Yeah, Those were the days..There will never be another Allman Brothers Band. Sure Warren Haynes, and Derek Trucks are Unbelievably tight in the new Allmans, but back then with Dickey, and Berry(RIP Duane) there is just not that same vibe.Could be that they were younger then, but still there is that Spirit of the South that just resonates within your soul...

  • @phallystorm Yep, along with their major blues influences. Eat a Peach! Love em!

  • @phallystorm I can't thumbs up your statement. It's too true and truth hurts! seriously, I'm going to lose it when Gregg and the other older guys pass on.

  • Looks like by '72 Berry had bobbed his hair to half its previous length. I think I prefered it at its full length, ya ol' hippie. :-) Thunder on in heaven, Berry.

  • he did it as something to Duane, cut it to the length Duane had his.

  • I just read three books on these guys and I take it that Berry and Duane were tight; look at the facial hair; same mutton chops; who the hell wore mutton chops in the 60's or 70's? Thinking of trimming my beard like them!

  • Wow, thanks. Favorited.

  • a spiritual moment in time...great bands may fade, great music is forever.

  • I remember seeing this when it was originally broadcast! Berry's last show, it still makes me sad.

  • berrys last show was a fine one you guys...and the whole band rocks 2 mind you...whoever posted this THANKS MAN...because i always read about this but i never saw it...
