I loved this book WAAYY before the movie came out. I remember begging to hear it as a kid :)

Such a beautiful story with such an intense message....just breaks human nature right down to its bare frame...love it...<3

wonderfully read, and not too fast so young children can keep up. my son loves this book, i painted it on his bedroom wall and hes going to be this for halloween. his wheelchairs going to be the boat and im using a mop for one of the trees

there is another version of this being read by a woman...another woman...it was on record/vinyl many years ago....if you heard it you would be surprised...i think the label was CAMDEN

This is a total classic.I'm 42 and remember that this book was(in the 1970s) VERY difficult to get at the primary school library,as it was always out.
