  • I had an 83. Put a DG pipe and muffler on it, FMF power reeds bored it to 60cc and had the suspension done by Kessler Pro Suspension. Thank you so much for bringing me back. That sound was pure gold to me for the best years of my childhood.

  • great vid man!

  • ive got a 63' ct 70...can i get sponserd by home depot too???

  • of coures its a 2 stroke cant you tell of the egzast

  • they are nice i have one to

  • hi idle?

  • @bearen27 no its cold all my 2 stroke idle like that untill they are warmed up or maybe the choke was left on

  • @Fffffft65 okey!

  • Do You still have this bike?

  • i learned to ride on that thing!!!!!!!

  • nice bike.

  • @EvansAutoShop well it took me 20 mins just to clean the old gasket material from the mating surface - add to that draining the oil and refilling (not to mention removing the clutch) and I'm sure it took me longer than an hour... 30 mins is impressive!

  • @EvansAutoShop that's why you are an AutoShop, and I am just a back-yard mechanic :P

  • is your allceliotn cord tite

  • Nice bike man!!

  • how many gears does this bike have i have one now but cant ride it till i get a new throttle is it 5 or 6 speed

  • they were a great bike they were also $980 dollers brand new in 84 i had one and a 250 and a 125 great bikes good video

  • Beautifull your CR 80!!!!!

  • i had 1 of that year in that year it cost new 985 there the best an the 82 81 80 model after that they screwed them up.

  • that bike is awsome

  • do you know if that seat will fit on an 1981 cr 80

  • Nice :) check out my 1984 cr80 !!

  • is that a 2-stroke?

  • @pinksall1 you betcha!! If a 4 stroke sounded like that, you'd be in trouble ;)

  • @xhumeka If a 4 stroke smokes like that...you got more problems!

  • your idle is wayyy to high

  • hey wuts the difference from a honda cr80 and a honda cr80R

  • @DEJAY4200 nothing the actually name is cr80r. it is just a shorter name. every CR is a race model. not CRF or CRF - X or stuff like that.

  • I HAVE THE SAME BIKE!.......but dfenetly turn the idle down some!

  • @199conman yes, it was adjusted properly shortly after this video...

  • Idling to high my ass, that's a 2 stroke, you 4 stroke pussies

  • let me take that off your hands

  • thats horrible to listen to turn it down abit lol its hurting my ears

  • hey, did anyone tell you the idol was 2 high yet, holy shit!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • 2 stroke ok. if your an idiot you would still no this

  • sad!!!!!

  • to high buddy

  • I had gottent the same dirtbike today for free, but it needs just a tad of work on the clutch

  • nice, enjoy! the clutch is VERY easy to work on with these bikes. I tore the clutch apart to examine the plates - total time to take apart and put back together was less than 2 hours thats for sure.

  • @xhumeka Can u still get parts 4 these lil bikes?

  • @herse88 i have an 87 that needs a jug. Wiseco still makes top end kits and probably low end bearings and clutch plates. but you have to rely on either used or old new stock parts for stuff like cases or jugs or plastic.

  • dat idle is 2 high

  • that was idling way high

  • i just bought a 1987 CR80R in mint condition for 500. it was a hella good deal. aftermarket pipe, renthal bars, new rear shock, new plastics, seat cover, new full mtor rebuild, newly painted frame, and new scott grips ima put a video on here tomorrow if you guys wanna check it out and see what you think,

  • yes, i definitely want to see it! link it as a "video reply" to this vid if you want (probably get extra views that way).

  • is it just me or is it idling kinda high?

  • definitely idling high... the carb needed adjusting.

  • thats bike is MINT. i have a 1983 cr80r just had a top end rebuild. shes snappy.

  • i have a 1986 xr100r lol! its not all that fast but its a collectable =)

  • i just got a 1989 cr 80r for 500 it fuckin pulls needs a new needle and seat because there is a delay when you gas tha shit out of it but it still pulls

  • nice! I just picked up a 1989 cr 125r recently as well - paid $600 for it... check my other vids for a walkaround of it. I love these older bikes!

  • Very high Idol.

  • i didnt know you had a cr80! thats awsome!, did you end up selling it?

  • Yah, unfortunately I sold it :( bought it for my gf but it was too powerful for her to learn on. so I used the money to buy the cr125 I have now. When I sold it on kijiji, I put a link to this walkaround and it sold 4 hours!! I posted it for $500, and it sold for $450.

  • my cr never idel it is proble rich but most 2 stroke bikes dont idel

  • i have a 1996 cr80r its a beast!

  • tell me a bout it lol, i have an older one then 1996 i cant remember tho exact year but it smokes our suzuki 85 thats a '97 in straight up power

  • I have a 1983 cr80, kinda new to the fixin engine part, I can get it started but have to hand on throttle to keep it going, i tried adjusting the screw to keep idle going but still conks out if I let go of the throttle. any ideas? thanks.

  • how much did u get for it? and how much would mine be worth if i just put a new craNKSHAFT SEALS BEARINGS AND A WHOLE TOP END? in the same condition runs beter though

  • sold it for $450 (Canadian). Not sure what yours would be worth, if it's in mint condition both mechanically and cosmetically, probably close to $1000?

  • i have the same bike 84 cr80r that gets to much fuel. any ideas?

  • move the needledown so move the pin up and burry the needle and youll get less gas or a simple fual air adjustment will do it

  • dude ur so lucky i wish i could get my 1997 cr-80 expert fixed (trans problem)

  • What kind of problem? This one wouldn't pull in first gear (but all other gears worked fine). Turned out to be a bent shift fork in the tranny that needed replacing.

  • ok the story is i went trail ridin and the back tire got stuck in red clay.i dropped it in first and dogged out on it and the chain broke and pulled into the trans and now it grabs and pulls on every gear the only thing i see is the case is a little beat up

  • whats your next dirt bike

  • Hopefully a cr125... I've always liked those bikes. Had a '97 cr250 (see my other vids) but it was too big for riding in the woods - would like a smaller bike again.

Right now I'm focussing on restoring my '84 honda 250r ATC. Just picked up a parts bike that I'll use to fix it up with.

  • NICE

  • dude thats gonna sell really fast

  • you were right - it just sold...

  • idel is a littel high

had the same bike when I was a kid

    niceone
