SLP LM1 Pypes O/R-X pipe

love the sound. i hav an 05 gt 5 speed with l/t headers and an off road h pipe. i have the loudmouth axle back kit on it but theres no mufflers. all it really is is straight out exhaust. so would mine sound like yors if i ordered the loundmouth 1 mufflers. are they mufflers or resonators? i dont know te difference. thanks for any info. but love your exhaust and car

@vbaron220 no, the off road part means it comes that way when you order them. if emissions is required where you live you will have to find a "friendly" person to pass them for you. otherwise it will fail the visual inspection

You can buy the mufflers alone for ~140 ish if i'm correct. Would be alot cheaper than a full kit from SLP.

Cause i had an offroad x pipe with no mufflers on the back and it wasn't a BRAND. I had it made custom at an exhaust shop near where i live. And mine was loud but it didn't sound as nice as yours. Does the brand really make a difference? even if its just piping?

no other mods my friend. and the slp lm1 is "basically" straight pipes but it has a large resonator on each side that creates the hollow sound that we all love lol

Is the offroad x pipe made by the brand PYPES or is it made by the brand Slp loudmouth.

And from your axle back its slp loudmouth ones im guessing. Im just confused as to what brand your offroad x pipe is.

well im gonna get 4.10's and you can have your car flash tuned or buy like sct xcal to flash it yourself to adjust for gears ratios. and 4.10's will make your car rev higher much faster

The question i have is if going with this set up will i have enough back pressure to keep from burning up my valves and affecting the h.p. From what i understand i don't want to keep it wide open or I might have to replace burnt valves.

well u gain ho in the top end but lose low end torque. a set of gears will remedy that easily. i cruise mostly in 3rd gear around 2800 rpms, shifting to 4th on the highway and only 5th when above 80mph. and thats stock gears. i have had any problems nor heard of burnt valves with the slp setup i have.

hey man I know this is a old post but I got a 91 5.0,I put stock manifolds on it,mac o/r prochamber and slp lm1 cat back on my car,I didnt notice any loss of power,if anything I think it made my car have more torque and it sounds f@$%ing awesome!!!! Dapperdan's video is the one that made me rush out and get the slp catback!!

it alters the sound like it distorts it cause its soo loud. it really is mean sounding. if u want a chambered sound get mac flowpath not flowmasters. the lm's are no joke man, with an o/r pipe it sometimes rivals a nascar. do not get an o/r-h i used to have one and it does not sound very good, go with the x-pipe.

i currently have slp's lm1 w/ stock H-pipe, and i'm about to get an o/r midpipe. I can't decide between H and X. how is the sound difference? I heard that X pipes have a higher pitch and H gives you a really deep tone.

in almost all cases i like the h pipe better, except with slp. with an h pipe and slp it sounds like a truck or even a tractor. the x pipe really gives it a better tone.
