@MaddieAlgayer - I've known sign language since I was 2. I learned it from my parents and later extended my knowledge through ASL classes offered at the community colleges. I prefer taking classes over books or websites but any of them work.

my instructor said it was that every word is signed as you would write or speak it, for example, 'did -you- forget? rather than just the sign for 'forget' with a puzzled expression on the signer's face', at least that's what I understand. It's literal rather than suggestive. ( I hope I'm right, or she'll do me in). lol
