If U have a notebook, just plug ur LAN cable to computer and enable this connection, so u'll have a LAN and Wifi - 2 conections - 2 IPs...

I could be wrong, you probably have a dynamic ip. Which means

it changes from time to time. Unlike a static ip, which is the same

all of the time. A ip release / renew just refreshes the ip, from my

understanding. Im sure one of the network guys will clear this up..

Proxies aren't changing your ip but masking it; using a proxy will result in slow loading times and lots of lag. The last method (5) does not always result in a new ip, almost never does actually. I give you a thumbs down for failing.
