1-open deck aluminum blocks suck. you shouldnt have to put a block guard in, resleeve, strut a block or otherwise to comfortably make large amounts of power.
2-undersquare engine designs are inherently difficult to make torque in. a longer stroke than your bore is wide is great for torque
3-When you pull up in a honda, people think youre poor, stupid, and annoying.

Great video! Finally someone puts up a proper video showing BOTH stock and modified at idle and going through the gears on a good stretch of road. Nice deep sound too. Question: Is the SLP Loudmouth exhaust "just" the deletion of the stock mufflers or is it a complete system with long tubes and all (meaning an axle-back system versus the whole exhaust)? Thanks!
@drumncoasters247 Stingers, I had flowmaster super 40's, and they sound AMAZING! Mine also has that low end growl too, but thats cause i have some blower cams on, but even without the cams... handsdown the best exhaust sound imo
hey i have a 2006 Gt with the same set up (SLP loudmouth) with stock headers and pipes. I want my car to sound more deep and loud like a ford GTx1 to be specific lol. Im not looking to change the exhaust just pipes and maby headers. any suggestions????? thanks!!
@gtracer56 i think its because the engines are different so thats why they sound different, the Mustang Gt 4.6l in the 99-04s are a 2 valve while the mach1 and cobra 4.6's are 4 valves...these newer mustang gts have a 3 valve 4.6l and thats probably why
@Jamishxc24 I believe thats absolutely correct. Not only the number of valves, but also the shape they impart on the combustion chamber have a huge impact on sound.
I have these on my 06 GT. Hands down, I draw a crowd during downshifts and pulling away from stoplights. Just the best sound crusing at 65 then downshift to 3rd and drop the hammer:) Parking garages and tunnels are fun too!:) I call it (My GT) the (Dawg house) because that's usually where I go when my wife's breaker trips...lol:))

Everybody who ever does an exhaust video should take note, this is how it's done. About the only thing missing are videos of what each sounds like from inside the car during acceleration and cruising.
Its not that the stock mufflers are bad... Just other mufflers are better.
I own an 07 gt and trust me, the stock is pretty nice, so nice that my dad wont let me change the mufflers on them.... bummer.
but other exhaust systems carry the sound longer, have deeper agressiver tones, and you know in your heart when u drive it. "hell yeah, this sounds bad ass"
but yes, the stock mufflers are alot better then what they could have given it.
Wouldn't run this thing minus cats without tune. Ran mine (check my videos) so you can see what it sounds like stock vs. SLP (and that's SLP's X-pipe and Loudmouth muffler deletes) and another without cats. Ran WAY too rich without the cats, so put 'em back on. Also, SLP isn't the ONLY muffler delete out there...see: Pypes, among others. And no tone? I beg to differ, but you have to hear it in person, and appreciate a pro mod amplitude in sound level, so not for grandma's car, heh.
i have a 2000 mustang you will get a more agressive low tone that no camaro would want to mess with if you get long tube headders check our my vids if you want to hear it
I've always thought the SLP Loudmouths sounded to gravely...no good tone to them at all, not just on our stangs but any car they go on. i dont know what SLP was thinking when they made the Loudmouths. As far as the new Stangs go, Borla Stingers all the way!
There are two versions of the Loudmouths. The SLP Loudmouth 1 sounds gravely like you stated, but the SLP Loudmouth 2 sounds a lot more "proper" if you would call it that.

The SLPs are retarded loud for only being axlebacks. However, they don't have the nicest sound. I had them on with the stock H pipe for about 2 weeks before I swapped it out for a catted X. It's a little quieter but the sound quality has definitely improved. I get compliments from Shelby and even Camaro owners.

I have a Legend lime 06 with the same SLP's. And I have to tell ya, I get more "Thumbs UP", from the Shock and Awe sound of the SLP. You're right, the video does it "NO" justice. Driving in a enclosed Mall Parking structure is a blast. Everyone getting in their car stop to see what's coming.
Everyone has different opinions. As far as I'm concerned I like SLP. For my 2000 GT I went with SLP Lm1 and my car already had a mac prochamber h pipe. My car had flowmasters and that was too weak for my liking. I personally like the loud aggressive sound.

This is another one of my favorite cars! The stock exhaust sounds wicked and the SLP exhaust sounds great accelerating, but rusty idle.

Its not that the stock mufflers are bad... Just other mufflers are better.
I own an 07 gt and trust me, the stock is pretty nice, so nice that my dad wont let me change the mufflers on them.... bummer.
but other exhaust systems carry the sound longer, have deeper agressiver tones, and you know in your heart when u drive it. "hell yeah, this sounds bad ass"
but yes, the stock mufflers are alot better then what they could have given it.

Wouldn't run this thing minus cats without tune. Ran mine (check my videos) so you can see what it sounds like stock vs. SLP (and that's SLP's X-pipe and Loudmouth muffler deletes) and another without cats. Ran WAY too rich without the cats, so put 'em back on. Also, SLP isn't the ONLY muffler delete out there...see: Pypes, among others. And no tone? I beg to differ, but you have to hear it in person, and appreciate a pro mod amplitude in sound level, so not for grandma's car, heh.

I've always thought the SLP Loudmouths sounded to gravely...no good tone to them at all, not just on our stangs but any car they go on. i dont know what SLP was thinking when they made the Loudmouths. As far as the new Stangs go, Borla Stingers all the way!

There are two versions of the Loudmouths. The SLP Loudmouth 1 sounds gravely like you stated, but the SLP Loudmouth 2 sounds a lot more "proper" if you would call it that.

Yea, but nobody knows. Just go to a shop when you get it inspected and say "Hey ill pay you 50 bucks to get it to pass inspection, it has no cats"..someones bound to do it.

The SLPs are retarded loud for only being axlebacks. However, they don't have the nicest sound. I had them on with the stock H pipe for about 2 weeks before I swapped it out for a catted X. It's a little quieter but the sound quality has definitely improved. I get compliments from Shelby and even Camaro owners.

I have a Legend lime 06 with the same SLP's. And I have to tell ya, I get more "Thumbs UP", from the Shock and Awe sound of the SLP. You're right, the video does it "NO" justice. Driving in a enclosed Mall Parking structure is a blast. Everyone getting in their car stop to see what's coming.

Everyone has different opinions. As far as I'm concerned I like SLP. For my 2000 GT I went with SLP Lm1 and my car already had a mac prochamber h pipe. My car had flowmasters and that was too weak for my liking. I personally like the loud aggressive sound.

thats so cool. I have an 07 GT white with red interior and all stock ( different engine comp ) but i want an SLP system on my stang too. the only thing cool about the stock exhaust is that it kinda spits back at you when you rev down. like a snap you know? sweet vid pretty car
