Then again I also had rabbits and when I worked with the cats to show them that the rabbit is a friend not food then they plaid. You have to do things carefully. I really love this video. @jakaxel eh, its not horrible, but they do have a urine type smell, the males more so, even when they are descented they still smell. that said, the males always seem friendlier so its a trade i guess.

@scorpietta If you mean in the wild, then cats will generally hunt anything they can catch. In the house, if you introduce the ferret to the cat and teach the cat that the ferret is not prey but rather a friend, then cats and ferrets can get along fine.

Only wild ferrets in North America are the Black Footed Ferrets, and they're completely different from the domestic ferret. There are also only 250 or so of them in the wild. And they're a lot bigger than domestic ferrets, and stronger too. In Europe, they're actually polecats in the wild, and they're much bigger too.

I don't let my ferrets around any of the small animals I have (rats, chins, degus, guinea pig and rabbits). They love the dogs, and like chasing my cats.

At first I thought this video was funny. However, after watching the full video, it seems RutgerStam (or whoever the video belongs to) is a cruel person.

It appears obvious that the cat does not want to be around the ferret. It also appears obvious that the cat and ferret are boxed in, so neither can escape. This is a cruel and stressful situation that s/he has imposed on the animals for amusement.

In conclusion, RutgerStam and/or the video owner are ass holes.
