By the way the place is called Kinglake (one word), not that it really is a big deal. Love the clip, I often go looking, to comprehend over 2 years ago now. Is it a good thing? Am now in counseling again, just can't come to terms with it all, the massive terror has so many of us suffering still. I see all of us calm on the surface but under that surface is such anxiety and pain. We suffer for all the bad things since too, terrible floods, poor NZ, Japan, USA, relive it with every disaster.
My husband and i are up there every weekend without fail..we just want to be there for everyone..giving them support..
We love going to watch the lakers play footy and we travel to wherever they r playing that week..the people of kinglake are awesome and they all say we are part of theyre kinglake family..we drive all the way from werribie but we don't care if its far to drive..we just want to be there for them all..we r trying to gets gifts donated for chrIstmas 4 them all..GO THE LAKERS!! J/D
@joannegreenjordan What lovely comment, thank you. Have been reading lots of comments about the fires and there is so much hate written in places. I am a Kinglaker, trapped cos I'd only moved here 2 months before and didn't know where to run, so I ran to the CFA and lived. Watching all these videos, I can smell the bush, homes on fire, flying embers, remember how it felt to breathe smoke in, gasping cos the fire ate the oxygen. So many died, yet I lived, just luck nothing else. Go Lakers. xx
was such a beautiful place...used 2 go to a certain spot all the time in the forrest to have a bbq....go through the liabirds walk and look at the fantastic view of the waterfall and endless acres of trees....drove back up there 2 days ago and it literally looks like hell on earth :( as far as you can see its just BLACK. millions of animals had died and the scale of it is just so overwhelming...
dont recomend going back up there if you dont plan to cry
