Ummm, this movie is a little older than that --- 1930. Ellington was startlingly ahead of his time!! That's what attracted ME to his music as a kid in the mid and late 1960's when I heard him on a Jazz program, "Just Jazz" emanating out of New York from the radio station of the Riverside Church, WRVR 106.7 FM. Unfortunately, neither the station nor the DJ of the program, Ed Beach, are with us today but it played EVERY ERA and substyle imaginable in Jazz up to that time, a true Jazz education.
