  • I think this video throws an inaccurate light on the Chinese people, I know many Chinese and they're very polite, well spoken, well mannered, and in many cases even more so than the western world...

  • 2:31. This guy already sucks at chinese and he's only said one word. He meant to say qian, but he said jian

  • Excuse me but did he say "even Americans are rude"? HAHAHAHA!!!

The fact is every country has rude people, yes even America (HAHAHAHAHA!!!). This video makes it sound like many or all Chinese are rude but that's simply not true. I love the way the Chinese give you back change or give you a business card, they do it in a certain way that is so much more polite than the west. But yes, the tubaozi's should learn to stand in a line and not spit too much in public, that would be nice.

  • and he said it with the wrong tone too

  • Spitting in street is dirty and wrong is all.

  • oooohhhhhhhhhhh ddangggggggggggggg they are so smart!!!!! spitting in little paper bags not life us in trash cans and the floor

  • WHAT?! my god, in our country if you spit on the floor, you can get a verry cruel "look" from people and you can get fined by the police officers

  • o we have such a different countries...

i am from Mexico, and, if u spit on the floor, nobody are going to say u nothing... even the police do that...

    sad but true...

  • Well then you wont be coming to Dublin because the spitting problem is 10 times worse!

It doesnt bother me in Dublin and it doesnt bother me in Beijing.

  • I live in a neighborhood where there are quite a lot of Chinese. I love Chinese people and most of them don't, but it's true that the older ones - senior citizens - still do.

OMG, it really makes my skin crawl. They make these deep hacking and hawking sounds before they spit and you can tell from the sounds that they've collected quite a sizable amount of loogie projectile.

I'm always kind of scared that their spit would hit me, but it hasn't so far!

  • haha, this is just a facade... if they really didnt know this, i dont understand how their country evolved from the Qin dinasty till now.this is so that outsiders would say "oh,they're improoving...".Chinese are laughing at western naivness.

You can see this is a cultural bias. Its ridiculous to see people who cant even wait for a bus in a normal civilazed manner.

  • I agree, the Chinese are some of the more well mannered and respectful people i have ever known.

If anything this was to make them seem friendly, to take peoples minds off of communism.

As for spitting, whats the problem? i have seen this done in almost every country i have been to, if not all. Here in Spain everyone spits on the floor, all the bikers and skaters i know in USA spit on the floor, in the UK a lot of young people do it. and every country does it during soccer matches, no biggie.
