Glad you liked it! I could pretend that it was a complex crane or jib with a rotating ball gizmo attached, but all we did was put a Sony Z1 camcorder on a fully extended tripod and (carefully) let it drop onto the actor. The ball was made in a 3D GFX package and composited onto the shot of the actor. It's all in the editing and sound effects... (the sound of the ball hitting the actors is actually a golf ball being thrown at a tree).
