We don't get on our hands and knees and pray for forgiveness and automatically assume that we are forgived. I base my morality on how I want to be treated. In my opinion, an act towards another is "moral" if it encourages reciprocal behaviour that benefits me/makes me feel good somehow, and "immoral" if it encourages reciprocal behaviour that disadvantages me or leaves me in a worse position. Killing people causes others to act against me in defense.
For the record, atheists don't necessarily believe in evolution, though most of them do.

Morality is a subjective opinion based on cultural and personal world-views. There are still places in the world where cannibalism is alright, discrimination based on sexual orientation is 'alright' and so on so forth.
Morality is also a changing subject; a century ago extreme racism was an accepted and huge part of the western lifestyle. Eugenics, the Jim Crow and so on. Nowadays it's regarded as a major disgrace.

Here is a quick question for all of you Atheists out there if you guys believe in evolution and to sum up evolution evolution clearly states all living organisms have one purpose in life-which is to survive than why exactly is it that you can even believe that there is a right and a wrong? Everything is about survival right? Sorry bud but Atheists have a much better morality. When we wrong someone we seek the forgiveness of said person. We don't get on our hands and knees and pray for forgiveness and automatically assume that we are forgived. But then again, you guys do believe in an imaginary man who died and came back in 3 days to ascend to heaven to show forgiveness towards a women who ate a magic apple at the advice of a talking snake so I guess you could believe that you're more moral.

1. Survival of the fittest does not mean the most physically able, atheletic people deserve to survive. It has to do with the characteristics of the species fitting to meet to pressures of nature. Natural Selection.
2. Atheists dont unanimously agree with evolution. And some Theists accept evolution as a tool of God. So lumping everyone into different clear cut groups is absurd.
3. Theres less morality in the bible than there is in a first world secular law system.

I base my morality on how I want to be treated. In my opinion, an act towards another is "moral" if it encourages reciprocal behaviour that benefits me/makes me feel good somehow, and "immoral" if it encourages reciprocal behaviour that disadvantages me or leaves me in a worse position. Killing people causes others to act against me in defense.
For the record, atheists don't necessarily believe in evolution, though most of them do.

Morality is a subjective opinion based on cultural and personal world-views. There are still places in the world where cannibalism is alright, discrimination based on sexual orientation is 'alright' and so on so forth.
Morality is also a changing subject; a century ago extreme racism was an accepted and huge part of the western lifestyle. Eugenics, the Jim Crow and so on. Nowadays it's regarded as a major disgrace.
The morality of the bible does not reflect my morality.

One might think this means that 15% of prisoners are Atheists but nope, only 0.21% are. The rest are Jews, Muslims, and Mormons. Also, last week on march 8th, 2011 in Philadelphia, 21 priests were removed for sexual abuse. Thats 21... from 1 district of 1 city. People claim religion is needed to live a moral life. That claim has failed miserably.

This is a blatant lie. Evolution is not a source of morality for atheists. Evolution is an observed scientific process. It demonstrates that in the case of opposition, the fittest organisms are more likely to survive. This is not the same as saying that we should kill off weaker organisms.
To put it to a decent analogy: If I tell you that I could kick your ass, it doesn't mean that I'm going to kick your ass. I'm just pretty sure that, should it become necessary, I could.

Wrong! You obviously no nothing about evolution. It says nothing about the strong overcoming the weak. Organisms evolute to fit their environments. If it benefits an organism to kill and eat other to survive, then it does. If it benefits an organism to cooperate with other organism to survive, then it does. Survival is doing whatever it is necessary to survive, or live. . . .thats about it.
For example;

@TheGreatDeciever55 It could also explain any number of things or be completely unrelated to anything at all. Manipulating ions is a very far leap from behavior, and by what would be sheer numbers. Positive and negative are relative when it comes to behavior and the subset, morality. Piranha can arguably display morality, and if your conjecture is based upon the brain being large or complex enough to emit such a frequency, you have a problem right there.

@Bardlettt understood---however like i said i have no means of proving my theory (yet)---however i would also have no problem accepting substantial evidence that negates it---which i urge you to offer me..so far we have kept ourselves on the same grounds of evidence---however i didnt claim to have a brilliant theory---in fact i stated "what if"---the only self-importance is clearly emanating off yourself...to merely say NOPE--thats not true---offering loose logical evidence is just as fruitless

@TheGreatDeciever55 Basically I have no problem accepting the concept once there is substantial evidence. What pisses me off is when people are so far up their own asses they go around telling everyone about their brilliant "theory" when they have done virtually no research and absolutely no experimentation to support their claims. It's a lazy, self-important way of doing science and I simply won't have it.

We don't -need- to kill -anyone-. Nature does that for us. Hence NATURAL selection. Being rewarded or punished for good or bad things? That's societal. ... 5. You might be surprised to know that secular nations with the highest percentage of atheists tend to have the lowest amount of crime. With the reverse true. Higher christian and Islamic populations tend have higher amounts of crime. Quite interesting. 6. Education and having as well as improving critical thinking skills is quite useful. I highly recommend partaking.
