A lot of the FeMC tunes are alright changes to give it a different feel of the character. I perfer more of the MC tunes but if there is one tune I absolutely love about the FeMC it's this one. Definitely a much better tune to rock out to when fighting the bosses in Tartarus.
@TSFF18 Reminds me more of the music that starts up before the boss battles in Persona 1's remake, except with Soul Phase instead of Dream of Butterfly as the background. So similar, yet strangely different...

Shoji Meguro's work was powerful with the original soundwork. It's complete nonsense to even believe this is "better" than what made the original game to begin with, considering these are all admitted spin-offs of the first version's tracks.
It's better if you enjoy the instant gratification it gives off and don't take the time to really consider the originals. It's that "new" feeling. This one sounds much better "out of game" while the original fits much better during battles.

Whereas it is still Meguro's work, and I respect his work above pretty much any other composer working for a video-game company, I still would never put the original and the newer soundtracks apart by calling either better than the remainder. Admittedly, the female character's soundtrack is a shadow of the original and vice-versa. Even the lyrics contradict eachother. They should be seen as a whole.
Chunky guitar licks right there! I love going from hard to the piano? right after. I guess I'm a big fan of electric and natural music instruments together.
You know what? From 0:16 to about 0:30 -ish, it sounds vaguely like one part of the battle against Izanami from Persona 4, but slightly sped up... Same composer, I know, but still interesting~
I wish there was an option to pick what boss battle music you wanted to listen to.
