@squeekzilla try using your e-brake, or park brake as some people call it. you can also try a Scandinavian flick if your feelin up to it. just youtube scandinavian flicks, they are one of the more popular ways besides the e-brake to "drift" a wrx. you have to be a little bit more of an experienced driver though, i still havent gotten it all the way down yet.

@PRZJ91 yes, all the backfire is from the anti-lag. eddy is partly correct, as with an anti-lag system, air/fuel mixtures reach the exhaust mostly unburned when not on the accelerator (or coasting), so since its unburned the hot exhaust explodes the air/fuel mixture causing the backfire. the reason anti-lags do this is because turbos run off of 2 things, intake and exhaust. the extra, unburned air/fuel mixture explodes and keeps the turbo spooled so there is no turbo lag. :)
