When Springsteen first came out no self-respecting rock and roller (not "rock" - but "rock and roll") would be caught dead listening to a cheese ball like Bruce Springsteen. Still not a fan of his music, but I must say that I have a new appreciation for the man, as a poet, if nothing else. Speaking of innovators of music - John fits this description to a tee because he did what very few have ever done - he came up with an entirely different sound.
95% of teens these days listen to the same formulaic, crappy pop over and over again. If you're one of the 5% who still listens to real music, thumb this up, then copy and paste it to at least five videos. Don't let the spirit of rock and roll die!
Please don't fill the comment threads with spam like this. It's annoying. I come to listen to music, not hear people complaining about Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift.
@carmital People who click dislike on this Fogerty vid are liberal pro-war idiots who support Obama and Bush's wars in the middle east where the U.S. spends billions to invade and brutally occupy sovereign nations where we force them to accept democracy as a form of government at the expense of our taxpayers and the cost of countless lives of innocent U.S. soldiers and civilians. Real Americans know the U.S. should spend that money to create new jobs and take care of America first!
When Bruce says "mercy" - with that smile on his face you can tell he's been wanting to do that for ages. I really like this performance. It's amazing how Fogerty's voice sounds similar to Orbison in some parts.
