  • thank you so much for all of your videos. for yrs i have been wanting to learn more than just the simple blankets and hats. your videos makes it so easy for me to learn. thank you again.

  • @msthick901 You are welcome!

  • Thank you for this video! It much easier to learn when someone is showing you! I lost my favorite 'teacher' (My beloved Mother passed away) this year and thought my 'learning days' were over. SO good to have straightforward instructions!

  • @Angeldoggs You are welcome. I have a lot of video content so ask any time if you need help finding something.

  • can you make a video on changing the color with the basket weave stitch please?

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!! I am only 11, and making my teacher's 1 blanket each ! Already have two done thanks to you for you granny squares. And now I am doing this ! Thank you soo much. I will post a video response ! :D

  • That would make a very warm scarf :)

  • thanks for teaching i have dyslexia which makes it hard for me to read patterns. when shown i catch on and have made progress!! i like the beauty of this pattern!

  • You are welcome. I appreciate your comment, thank you.

  • I was shown this stitch with a slight variation. The way the rows ended were different but your way was much more simple and I love the way it lays!

    Thankyou soo much.

  • You are welcome. There are so many variations with crochet. It keeps it interesting, that's for sure.

  • is worsted weight yarn diffrent from acrylic yarn? thanks for the videos you posted, it's a great help for a new crocheters like me. my friends and i enjoyed the new stitch we learn from you (star stitch, and im exticed to tell them about this basketweave stitch... thank you, more videos and more projects to crochet to come....

  • You are welcome. Worsted is a smooth finish. You can have worsted and acrylic together.

  • I enjoyed watching your tutorial! I learned a new stitch and cant wait to try it out! Would you tell me what kind of yarn you are using please.

  • I use 4-ply worsted weight.

  • What brand of yarn are you using?

  • Red Heart

  • thank you!

  • can a basket weave stitch be done with a treble crochet instead of double crochet..?

  • Yes it can. You can do it with a half-double crochet too.

  • thank you soooo Much, you saved my project :), i am doing a scarf with the basket weave stitch but my yarn is somehow thin so the double crochet basket weave isn't working the way i want it :)

  • If you have enough yarn and it is thin, you can use two strands of yarn to get the thickness you desire.

  • yeep thats a good idea :), but if i'm going to use the treble crochet am i going to follow the same pattern & instruction or there is a change..?

  • If you are making an afghan or scarf, you will just stop when you get it to length so the stitch won't matter. You will need less rows with the triple crochet because it is longer.

  • thank you sooo much :)

  • this is a pretty stitch

  • Wow. that was amazing. i personally cant crochet at all, i prefer knitting and i find it easier to knit the basket weave, but you made explained it really well. so i'll learn how to crochet, and possibly attempt this stitch

    thanks alot.

  • You are welcome. :)

  • You are an excellent teacher!! Thank you, I know it must be time consuming for you. Have you tried to felt a project using this stitch? I wonder if it would blur the effect.

  • My felting attempts have not been successful.

  • Thanks alot! i'm having so much fun... can you please out up more designs for granny squares... the one's in your afghan were very pretty... PLEASE!

  • I know I have about 4 variations from the basics done right now. Let me know if you are interested in the links and I will find them and send them to you. One is called the loopy granny square.

  • Great video. I actually was able to do it! Thanks so much!!

  • You are welcome. :)

  • Thanks Teresa,I started an afghan with this stitch and I can't wait until it's finished. This is a stitch that I never thought that I would comprehend but, thanks to your video I'm doing it!!

  • You are welcome. :)

  • That wool/yarn is gorgeous! Thanks for the posting another very useful video. Stitch confused the heck out of me when I was reading the instructions in a book of mine. This helps a lot!! :0)

  • I am getting ready to post a slow motion of the frontpost/backpost stitch in lighter color yarn.

  • Excellent! Can't wait to see that one!

  • I love this stitch thank you so much for showing me how...

  • You are welcome. :)

  • thanks so much for this video. i had to view it a few times to fully understand and i'll probably refer back to it until i get the hang of it!

  • You are welcome. The videos are here so you can view them as many times as you would like to, so you get the hang of the stitch.

  • actually, i just emailed you. i think i've flubbed and i'm slightly freaking out over it. i emailed your gmail account and hopefully you'll be able to diagnose what i did wrong! :(

    thanks!

  • I'm just a beginner at this ,but have done a few easy projects.I love your videos, they are very helpful.Question..can you change the color of your yarn ,or would it ruin the basket weave ? Also would it look better on a large afghan to make larger weave squares..like instead of 5 do 10? Thanks..I'm also new to this youtube stuff..

  • When I started doing this over a year ago I was using up scrap yarn which is why some of the older demonstrations will have darker colors. I have been incorporating lighter color yarn and working on lighting and settings in my video rendering process in hopes of making it better. I have 93+ crochet videos that I would like to invite you to look at. I think that larger basketweaves would be beautiful across 10 or even 20. Post a video response of your afghan, once you get the hang of youtube.

  • What do you mean by the 8 + 3? I'm still learning, and I've never heard that used before. how many chains do you begin with?

  • I have a demonstration explaining the multiple and what it means. It is up to you to determine how many chains you need, for how large you want your project to be.

  • these videos are so helpfull.the written instructions can be overwelming..thank you..

  • thank you.

  • You are welcome.

  • Its beautiful.Wow cool design.
