He was clearing the puck from the front of the net. Such is common practice. It was only through extremely bad luck that the puck hit Hall's skate.

That said, you can't predict what course the game would have taken had this not happened.

LANA - no, i watched all the reverse angles and the over-head cam and it definitely bounced off Hall's skate. You could even see it when they re-played it in slow-mo during the game last night. Trust me, I was pissed at Nik, but then I realized it was just bad luck.

Dude, Kronwall didn't really score on that one. He didn't pitch it into the Wings net, he was passing it toward the corner to Franzen when Hall from the Pens skated between them and it bounced off Hall's skate. So technically Hall scored with his skate and Kronwall kind of got an assist on that one.

It was an unlucky bounce at just the right angle, but shit happens.
