  • Personally I prefer the Roy Rogers. Which is basically the same but with cola instead of 7 Up. There's this one I heard of but can't find a recipe for that I assume is suppose to be green in color called a Munster. Saw it on a kid's menu from the 60s a fella that goes by the name Video Martyr posted on his blog. Oh, and Shirley was also the U.S. Ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia. Not all child stars grow up to be criminals, folks!

  • @JamiJR Thanks for your comments. Good information to share.

  • @JamiJR Unfortunately, most bartenders that haven't been school trained know very few drinks. The drinks that they do know usually aren't prepared correctly and taste terrible. Mixology is an art and for one to be good at it they have to put in some extra time study.

  • @jtiano Yeah, I've noticed that and if you ask me, that sucks. To be a bartender you should have to go to school just like if you're going to be a chef or even a short order cook and learn a variety of drinks. Plus how to mix virgin or water downed versions of the same for those of us who are light weights when it comes to alcohol. I wonder how much of the art has been lost because bars are willing to hire anyone who walks in off the street.

  • @JamiJR You said it all. Amen!

  • @jtiano If you ever find out the recipe for a Munster would you let us know? I imagine it can't be much different from a ST, likely 7 Up or some other clear soda plus some sort of green syrup. As for alcoholic ones, I'm always shocked how many bartenders do not know how to make a mint julep. Granted, they're stereotypically a Southern drink, but you'd think bartenders all over the US would know how to make one just incase.

  • I thought it was, grenadine, 7up, and orange juice O_o

  • @Joakimjocke11 There are several different recipes, this is one of them.

  • @jtiano Alright

  • I had a Shirley Temple once which was AWESOME but I can't find any more!

  • i thought it was made with orange juice

i also thought that was a low ball glass not a high ball

  • @bobwatters orange juice is used in an old style temple.

  • Your mom knows nothing of Shirley Temple.

  • she'd make a lot of movie with big people.

  • thats called the incest temple

  • you mean the dirty shirley wich you just ad vodka

  • These are soooo good. I have to drink about 10 Shirley Temples though to get reallllly drunk, which sucks :(

I like it the best with sprite

  • lol in france sometimes diabolo grenadine. Somtimes they do that with beer, too :) .

Btw. i want to try this one out i saw it on american dad and now i'm curious to make it the way it was presented there.

  • I thought is orange juice coming as well or am I wrong?

  • @ultraurban i thought it was orange juice too

  • You used a bit too much grenadine. Most folks prefer concentration of about 1:10. If there's too much, it tends to taste too sweet.

  • whatever happened to a shirley temple with orange juice?

  • "Incredible Hulk" is hypnotiq and hennessy (hyp and hen) named that because it turns green.

  • Isn't the "Hulk"= hypnotiq and hennessy ?

  • I'd have to slap a kid if it didn't know who Shirley was.

  • I'll get to you later once I find my Hoe Slappin' Glove.

  • @sloththemighty it ?

  • yeahhh, the first cocktail drink i learn last 2000, i went to Bartending School in the Philippines...

  • where in the PI?

  • Cebu City, why?
