My group also spends that day (and whole season!) in meditation. One time I walked out of the temple and saw cars screeching thru noisy drunk people, and a junkie approached me with crazy stories about his problems. It was at that moment I felt the full blessing of having a spiritual family that seeks "the better portion" rather than revelling or arguing with family over gifts and too much food. Thanks for this. I will be with your group in spirit.
