this movie was on sbs, i watch this a scene where she was on the train and a man walked in. at first she was blury, but th eman looked closer and she had a mask on her outh and stuck a picture of a lip on th emagazine on the mask where her mouth was meant to be. i jumped when i saw her, i think this movie is a thriller. i closed the tv straight after i saw her and caouldn't sleep for 2 days.

@simpleminet She bumped into herself to symbolize a message from her future to herself. The picture shattered when it hit the ground (symbolic of her relationship falling to pieces and she is to blame "bumping into herself"). She shows the picture to Ji-Woo and he pretty much states that the lady in the picture looks weird and he wouldn't be interested in her. This was a warning not to do the surgery.

I want to show it at my school's film club, but I will have trouble getting it approved if there is nudity. It can be rated R, but if it's because of sex, the outlook isn't so good for it.

I disagree. I just rented it and watched it, and I really liked it. Guess it's not your cup of tea. Strange it is, and very trippy, but if you're tired of the same old homogeneous crap coming out of hollywood, this movie is refreshing, if a little disturbing.

Clearly this is your first Asian drama/thriller. I like the genre but other movies do it better. If you're into the dark stuff, check out some movies from Japan like Battle Royale, Suicide Club, Audition... the best from Korea is Old Boy. The best from Taiwan is The Secret (not that dark, but good). There's one from China that comes to mind but I can't remember it now.

I think you might like the Chinese horror movies sold under the name The Three Extremes. There's one about an old lady that eats dumplings made of babies or something. It's pretty twisted, but decent.

Sorry for blatantly insulting your taste earlier. I guess it's differences of opinion, but I really recommend those other movies. If I had never seen them, and then saw Time, I'd probably like it.

It's about a couple. The girl is incredibly insecure and decides to get plastic surgery to completely change her face because she thinks her face is too boring for her boyfriend. So she disappears for half a year or so and then reintroduces herself to her boyfriend under a new identity so keep the relationship interesting... it's basically about the least healthy relationship every documented. it's a cool concept, to be sure. Anyway, that's not a spoiler, that's the basic synopsis. There's more.

There's a bit more to it than just weirdness. I'll also keep the spoilers down. At first, it just seems like a simple (but extreme) commentary on the current obsession with plastic surgery in Korea, but it throws in some commentary on relationships and the idea of a "true love." Then there's some play on time and mirrors in the mix. It's a fun, not-to-complex movie to analyze.
