@splang Guess what? These are not ridiculous stories. Your fooling yourself. God is real. Very real. Ask Him to show himself to you in a way that you can understand. I also know about Choo Thomas. I heard her testimony. Don't forget, God is real! Hell exists. Come to know Jesus before it's too late.
Always wondered if John was saced, I guess so. Well now you are with Jesus. Trade you places. Yes we all need to pray for folks like Paul Yoko and others.
Good God, this frustrates me. You can find John Lennon's interview given the day of his death (obviously before it happened), and observe that this "wanting to retire" thing just ISN'T true. He had just come OUT of retirement to make Double Fantasy. This guy bothers me here.
"I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It's just that the translations have gone wrong". ~John Lennon
I really hope he become a christian before his death!!
I really don't think Larry Norman would be talking smack, I'm sure John shared his most secretive innermost with Larry, esp when you're so burnt out on the every day grunge. You look for more that's deeper w/in your soul for peace and contentment.... I believe John was saved. My opinion.
@tkkimbel According to John Lennon's (never-been-released) song "you saved my soul" I recently found that he wrote it about three weeks before he died and that he was christian at his last days. And what more, Ringo Starr has also been a christian and still is living for Jesus today!
@norfrik thank you norfrik for your reply, its good to know that even the "biggest" of celebrities can humble themselves to be saved. Nothing is bigger than our God !
I am a strong christian person and I am a huge Beatles fan.I do hope that what Larry Norman says in this video is true because I have always had a bad impression of John Lennon. I thought he was an atheist.
"Help me to help myself" (which I think may be one of the songs Norman could be speaking of) has been released on the 2001 re issue of Double Fantasy.
@splang It's really a great song. I always wondered why he did that song. At that point in his life he was making music for the sake of making music, not to please anyone. So the song had to have had some shred of meaning to him.
The claim about Lennon wanting to stop making music could just about be proven false though. The day of his assasination, he was working on Yoko's upcoming single "Walking on Thin Ice" and she recalls him being happier than ever.
@BRProvince Yoko will say anything to keep the lie alive and to continue the idoltry of John Lennon worship going. She controlled him in a very bewitching manner. She continues to go on LKL and other shows making claims she can't back up. She IS a witch. Horrible singer too.
sorry but he comes off a little uppity. he never spoke this way when he was younger. he would say nothing in the concerts i saw. i mean what does he really know about yoko. like she was saying this or that. i mean come on...
I don't believe in these heaven/hell stories. Read Choo Thomas' ridiculous review. DON'T but the book...
