  • He's cute :)

  • I LOVE KUNG FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • was he intended to do a triple axel double toe at 3:51?

  • Why does it have to be quad OR a good skate? Yagudin proved that you can do both: Throw in some quads AND perform a gorgeous, artistic program.

Of course, no one of Yags' caliber has come into skating since he left, so people now think that it has to be a choice between one or the other.

  • I really hate how technical skating has become. I dont think skaters should really care if they "need" a quad or not

  • These braindead products of common thinking cannot say the new word in artistry. This is their main problem. Increasing speed by moving backward with congested hands - it's all they can show to the public. And the commentators only add more scoops to the pool by saying "good landing" or "a nice tripple axel" and the other absurdity like that.

  • Haha, why did he say i love kung fu?? YOU R SO AWEOMSE! I LUV 2 WATCH U SK8!

  • I LOVE KUNG FU!!!!!!!! AHHHH i love him!!!!!

  • US mens skating is week if something like this humble skating can pretend on the medals....with such programm several yaers ago in Russian Nationals he wouldn't be able even to come up to the 4th place

  • I hope Jeremy makes it to the Olympics. I love his artistry. There's actually FLOW between jumps, and not just jump after jump after jump with no "fluff".

  • not only abott.

man should be quard. it is necessary for champion. They are running away. very sad thing.

  • They cannot exceed Plushenko and Yagudin without the jump. If the champion returns again....., result is clear.

  • I don't see why it should matter so much if a skater does a quad or not, if they skate good, that should be what matters. Better have an excellent skate with no quad than a less good skate with a quad.

  • no quard no fun!!

  • Jeremy Abott has by far the best dancing moves although he lacks of technique. For me the best move even better than joubert.

  • I like this guy :] hes a great skater! not my favorite, but hes up there on my list of favs. I'd say Johnny Weir is still my favorite.

I like that thing Jer did at 1:55, it was weird and really cool-looking!!

    goodness this man is fantastic!!!

  • @6our6vampire6hearts Just curious, now that the 2010 championships have gone by, and after Jeremy's stunning performance (perfect program)... does your opinion still stand on johnny weir?

  • hah funny, because I didnt see him doing so good in the Olympics! He butchered his short program! sooo...YEP! Gonna have to say my opinion still leans toward Johnny!

  • Jeremy Abbott FOI FAN ~ GOOD~

    be full of beauty !!

  • nice skating, but world's leading ladies nowadays land more jumps & jump combos (the latter is pretty much totally absent in this program). He is an elegant skater with nice lines, so unusual for most of the male skaters, but there is no speed, no power and very questionable technical merit.. i'd not be happy with that.. :-?

  • Ya you're right after watching that performance you could feel he was pretty tight and need more speed and attack. He has lots of potential and could win many events or he could just kind of fizzle. WE WILL SEE. I think that Mroz after watching worlds seems to have better jumping technique. Evan of course managed to win but I never really liked his skating. He is took skinny to make anything look really impressive. Well I can't wait for the olympics.. :D

  • Whats the song from 1:58-2:30?

  • they should eliminate quads. too many injuries - all people think about is quads. if they eliminated it, then we could get back to the focus on all the other elements - grace, style, footwork, athleticism, artistry. Now it is all jump, jump, jump. There is SO MUCH MORE to skating than just jumping. A lot of these performances lack artistry - not enough focus on elevating the ENTIRE performance. The rest of your program can suck, but if you land the quad, you win. It is ruining skating.

  • And again...what happened with skating? It is a huge thing if someone does a triple axel? You dont need the quad to be US champion? There are no triple-triple combinations? And this is what they call great footwork?Again though I like the recent Americans i have to say. Those russian guys were amazing. I think i dont need to explain that I mean Yagudin and Plushenko. Or I could've mention Timothy Goebel the quad king too.I thought skating world must improve..But that was back in 2000-2002.

  • I think you don't know much about skating. stop showing ur ignorance.

  • Yeah I really don't know so much about skating, but instead of downgrading me you could've tell me when was I wrong... When I said that the Russians were amazing? Or because I said that I don't see any real improvement. And I have absolutely no problem with Jeremy he deserved to win here. I just said that I prefer watching skating from those years than nowadays. If you think that im stupid because of that than i never asked you, you don't have to answer. But if you have any normal reason than

  • please be so kind and tell me whats the problem'cause its quite easy to say ignorant to someone, but unless you prove it I cant do anything with this great comment.thx

  • Your comments tell me that your focus on skating is mainly on jumps. The footwork Abbott does is far harder and more complex than anything Yagudin ever did and as well as Plushenko. There is a lot more to skating than you seem to be able to appreciate. Tim Goebel indeed was the quad king, but the general consensus is that Abbott is a much better all around skater than Goebel because of his basic skating skills, musicality, non-jump elements, ease of movement, interpretation etc.

  • Ok,thanks. I understood what youre talking about, I checked the footwork and I see that it is amazing, he has really good edges.I think I said that his footwork is not great, because I didnt feel that excitement what I feel when I watch a great footwork. So I guess that means, for me the presentation is the most important thing in skating. And really not just jumps, cause if itd be like that I wouldnt like Sasha Cohen, but she is one of my favorites. But hey, jumps are important too:)

  • does anyone have the song track that starts at 2:30 ?

  • GOOD !!!!!!!!!

  • which is the name of the song?

  • There were a bunch of songs in there. Part of it was "Adios Nonino," parts of it were from Vivaldi's "The Seasons," and some stuff I couldn't identify.

  • Many congrats on your well deserved National Championship, Jeremy! You are the best!! I'm so happy for you and the brilliant season of skating you've had, winning Cup of China, winning the Grand Prix Final, and now winning the US Championship. I hope you have many more successes as I love watching you! You are my favorite male skater currently competing, by far. So reminiscent of Stephane Lambiel's style, whom I also love!

WAY TO GO, JEREMY!!! Peace, love, and happiness to you. :)

  • Is it number 1 in the USA?!

    As the robot on walk...

Awfully....And these faces in the end...

JOHNNY THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!

  • that triple axel was gorgeous

  • probably the most beautiful one i've seen and perfect for the music

  • agreed about the music part. his timing/matching to the music was on par with MK days

  • I LOVE KON FUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!

  • haha what is this? i didn't quite understand why he said it ..

  • i can't get over his crooked smile :]

  • lol, me either

  • I can't help replying again. The first half of this performance was just some of the most beautiful and exciting skating I've ever seen. His intrinstic musicality and "danceability" reminds me of Stephane Lambiel.

  • Goofball.

  • He seems to be such a simple and nice guy. I fell for his skating since 07 4cc. Glad he's doing so well, this year. Could he pull it off again at worlds? It will be a great showdown btwn Jeremy,Patrick and Kozuka

  • at 4cc

  • It's gonna be such an exciting show down between him, Patrick, and Kozuka. I can't wait!!!!!!!

  • can someone explain me what means Kon(Kung) FU????

  • It usually means Chinese martial art.

  • It is a reference to the movie Kung Fu Panda.

  • he's so amazing! i'm glad he won. i love abbott!

  • I am just so thrilled that he WON! From my home rink! We have always been his biggest supporters and we are so PROUD! AHHH :)

  • Took him a few years, but he finally pulled it off, just like Czisny. Woot!

  • yeah!

  • This guy's talent is unmatched in the world at this moment IMO considering his all around ability. If he can pull off two totally clean skates, I don't think there's any result that he cannot achieve!

  • wow this was up fast! I freaked out after he won gold. I don't know how people didn't see his potential two years ago. I've been waiting for him to come up front like he deserves...it took awhile but now it's his time. YAY JEREMY!

  • He is so amazing! I loved after one of his performances he yelled " I love Kung Fu!!"

  • This guy should've - and could've - been the US champ long time ago over boring Lysacek and lukewarm Weir but better late than never. What a deserving title.

  • Amaizing 3A!!

  • wow nice ass:)

  • thank you! we are waiting for the new vids!

  • thanks so mcuh for the3se!
