why human need to test in envierment or space ..............................idiots never live with nature and allways try to overtake ........supernature.............what they r searching on moon assholes.
For the human race to keep on existing we need to move beyond this planet. History has shown that earth can go through mass extinction events. Eggs in one basket and all that.
5:28 and Obama is doing the exact same thing. Privatizing of the space industry will generate new ideas and be more efficient, but in the long run do we really want mega corporations like Halliburton and GE dominating the space industry?
Manned flights into orbit are worth the human effort. It is called exploration, a classic human survival trait. If it is cost effective meaning the most value per unit of expenditure, then cost is not a problem. Blowing up or disintegration of orbiters and the negligent homicide of crews, is not effective.
@centurion180ad lmao u think we can get out of the solar system? You realise how hard that is? How much food, oxygen and work and time needed? No chance.
@centurion180ad It will require a miracle... the propulsion system will not be good enough even if it were near the speed of light. Even at that speed it would still take 4 years to reach the nearest outside star and many more years to reach an earth like planet. Then time dilation means time on earth has passed by much more. It is scientifically and practically impossible for us to go anywhere.
There are higher order mathematical constructs in space-time, which explains how Hermitian Operator mechanics models the subatomic parts of protons & neutrons (quarks) and the influence of the Weak Force. This strongly implies that a field could produce a jump drive.
@DLPBurke Relativity is only good for comparing atleast 2 intertial frames of reference. A field may violate this law by being inside 1 frame, and a sufficiently short period of time under the Plank Time may violate this law no matter how many frames.
@centurion180ad No relativity makes it plain that we will never be able to travel at speeds even near what is required without severe issues we cannot overcome.
we probably wont go to the moon in our lifetime cuz of nasa bieng cheap and wanting to save to go to other panets even though stephen hawking warned to beware of aliens
I notice that americans have huge spelling problems, I see errors ilke, angel for angle, behaind, and let´s not talk about more complex words like rendezvous, etc..
@LeroyJacksonJones The comment wasn´t offensive, I only meant it´s something I´ve noticed for a long time. Not being a native speaker I often corrected my american students many spelling errors. Regarding your comment, If mem serves I recall reading you guys hired Mr Von Braun for your Apollo program, but hey, white flag waved, there are a bunch of brilliant americans in all branches except politics..regards...
@AtlantisB737 Please drop your nonsensical anti American crap. Your posts are a garbled mess and you barely sound literate. Good lord what an embarrassing joke.
Writers of Science Fiction knew more than half a century ago that payload and crew would be carried to LEO by two different kinds of rockets. Additionally, different rockets should be used to reach LEO than those used to transfer from LEO to elsewhere in the solar system. For the latter plasma rockets look promising thanks to their high specific impulse Hopefully, with constellation program, NASA will get back on track.
u r welcome

The shuttle program was designed to be something it was not. It was a white elephant since the day it was born.

@DLPBurke We start in this solar system. Going to another will require better propulsion. Physics is showing the way, slowly.

@centurion180ad I am afraid any and all possibilities contend with the fact that you cannot break special relativity.

Columbia could have been used for ISS missions, and it was eventually planned to use it on one in 2003. Too bad she never got the chance :(

@crackaddict444 Columbia was too heavy to go in the orbit the ISS was in. Thats why it never did...
