Every once in a while the game has a series of servers with lag. It hasn't been happening much lately. The last couple of days, I've only lost connection to one game and none had lag. When people have a "Strict" Nat Type, that's what causes a some problems, but I don't get into many games with lag or bad connections. Then again, I've got a really good internet.

MAG runs super smooth, even with 256 players there isnt a hint of a lag, yet MW2 Lags with just 6 vs 6, its fucking ridiculous that the COD games popularity and all the money they made because of its popularity didnt guarantee dedicated servers, its GREED that is to blame, greed and..... consumer stupidity, i.e as long as we keep buying crap....they'll keep making it.

@Dr3v0 There are advantages to having dedicated servers such as knowing who you are playing with and I also play on Christian servers normally, but I just enjoy the matchmaking system better for some reason (except for when it puts me with nothing but noobs who run from the flag carrier in Capture the Flag).

Of course I hate it when there is a bad host, but that is the only time I get lag spikes and bad connections. Also, generally the host will leave, or you can just leave the game as it's not like it happens every game. In fact, it rarely happens for me. The most lag I get is generally when I'm using a screen recorder and no matter what a screen recorder will give you a worse frame rate.

I've been playing this on the PC for the past 2 days and i can't fucking stand the lag... 4 bars = Lag. I miss the days when it was all about skills rather than a connection battle. And don't get me started on balance issues, but i could live with it if it wasn't for the god DAMNED lag.

I agree. You shoot someone with a shotgun in the face, then watch killcam. You didn't even fucking shoot in the killcam. That, and the fact that sniping is next to impossible made me quit the game.

MW2 for PC is a friggin' disgrace for every FPS game, the matchmaking system sucks and the player hosted servers simply doesnt work for first person shooters! IF you manage to find a decent host, the best ping you´re still going to get is 100+ while the host goes with zero ping. 80% of player hosted servers cannot run bigger maps like rundown or favela causing horrible lag... MW2 is a FUN game, but with no dedicated servers, fps veterans like me are just going to get pissed off.

I am so glad I was not a sell out. I did not buy this game because I knew this was going to be the way it played. PC users are used to playing the way games are meant to be played, on dedicated servers. Consolers have no problems with sub standard game play like this, because for them it is the norm.

BUT! what happens in 4 months when those console gamers get BFBC2 and they play on the dedi servers being set up for 360 and PS3?
