I normally listen to hardcore and metal and popular music makes me want to vomit, especially when it contains "hidden" proselytizing in the lyrics. @CecilDark Sure I know a couple. There's Greydon Square, Johnny Hoax, and another dude named Gripp. I'm glad my music helps you out lol. I have a friend that lives in Kansas (bible belt) and he says it's like being surrounded by zombies.
Bible Criticism takes place when UNBELIEVING men try to find fault with God's Word. Such men set themselves up as JUDGES, and they make unfavorable remarks and judgments about the Bible. Instead of letting the Bible be their JUDGE (God's Word pointing out their faults and showing where they are wrong--Hebrews 4:12-13)
they try to JUDGE the Bible (by pointing out the so called "mistakes" and "faults" in the Bible). Someday these unbelievers will stand before the JUDGE OF ALL THE EARTH (Gen. 18:25) and they will realize that the Bible was right and they were wrong! They will be judged by the very WORD which they criticized (John 12:48).

@averick11 Let me give you a real life example. Over here in the states there are religious groups attempting to get the public school system to insert creationism into science classes. @averick11 Yes...sometime this week. I'm really trying to finish this album. But there are things I need to discuss with you guys and get some perspectives.
As an atheist in the deep south (and a hip hop fan), I just want to let you know how much I appreciate what you do here, man. It's great to come on here, see a video from you on my homepage, and realize that I'm *not* the only person in this country that isn't delusional and crazy. Keep 'em coming, my friend.
@doug1119 Awww man this comment makes my night! No my friend you are not alone. I've met some incredibly supportive people since I have been on youtube. Folks like you and the rest are what motivate me to keep going.
Why did this not show up in my sub box?? Ugg, stupid Youtube. But oh well. I've heard it now, and I love it. Definitely my favorite song from you so far. PLEASE put this on iTunes!
@AquariusLove100 Yeah most of the time I only do two verses for 2 reasons. People's attention span seem shorter now so I figure make it shorter and have them wanting more rather then have them waiting for it to end. Some of the other artists that I work with are trying to convince me to make longer songs. It depends if I get enough feedback that the audience wants it.
@EdwardVonFishington That it will. Then the people will be all like: Hey wait a minute! You politician's aren't killing for god! You're just killing cause you like killing people! Wait a minute... YOU'RE ASSHOLES!
@NearVSMello That'll be the day the world wakes up, hopefully. Sadly, I think we're going for at least a few centuries of coma. It really saddens me to think that I probably won't see the day all of those lies and delusions end.
The main source of hatred in the world isn't religion. It's genetics. Not that religion helps. But don't expect the absence of religion in society to change human nature.
@NearVSMello Religion is one of many symptoms, not the cause, of corruption of human nature. It is not human nature to hate, to kill our own species, to lock each other in cages, to rape and torture. These things are caused by a number of factors. How it started is anybody's guess, but religion came along with it, as did government, money, and war. These things are unnecessary and detrimental to our survival, and go against true instinctive human nature. The genetic violence theory is a guess.
In nature its the psychopaths who are in charge. In society it's the psychopaths who are in jail. In both cases it's because they have no qualms about getting what they want. In nature it's dog eat dog, and despite progress this mentality still carries over into society. It is in human nature to be aggressive. It is in human nature to be selfish. It is in human nature to kill. Because all of these help in a primitive survival setting.
@NearVSMello In nature it is the collective that wins. Look at the last remaining (as of 2003) ungoverned, non-religious, natural tribal society, the Yequana of the S. American rainforest. They live in total harmony. They don't fight. Their INFANTS never cry. They are not selfish, not aggressive, or materialistic. By now, missionaries have probably invaded their home because books have been published about them, but at one time, they were a perfect, uncorrupted example of true human nature.
Sigh.. YES YES but it took time to GET that far. And early groups were STILL controlled by the most aggressive, and it STILL remained an advantage to be aggressive and willing to kill. "civilization" with "laws" hasn't been around long enough to instill genetic behavior OUTSIDE of that wild environment.
>They are not selfish, not aggressive
Yea and they're still a small tribe in the rainforest. See how it works?
Great stuff. I look forward to seeing you at The Reason Rally :D

If the line read:
"That's what you would say next like it's SOME fucking complex"
It would be such a sweet burn.

@AquariusLove100 I swear that is one of my favorite movies. And because of that scene where Al Pacino goes on this rant. I had to use it LOL.

LOL - great song! Had me bopping my head after about 5 seconds. Love the chorus and the little Al Pacino bit at the end, hell, it was all good.

This has to be the most genius song ever. Amazing lyrics, amazing tune, I could bob my head to this riding down the road all day long.

NearVSMello 11 months ago
@NearVSMello Religion is one of many symptoms, not the cause, of corruption of human nature. It is not human nature to hate, to kill our own species, to lock each other in cages, to rape and torture. These things are caused by a number of factors. How it started is anybody's guess, but religion came along with it, as did government, money, and war. These things are unnecessary and detrimental to our survival, and go against true instinctive human nature. The genetic violence theory is a guess.

@AdamRainStopper
So genetics is the BEST guess.
NearVSMello 9 months ago
@NearVSMello In nature it is the collective that wins. Look at the last remaining (as of 2003) ungoverned, non-religious, natural tribal society, the Yequana of the S. American rainforest. They live in total harmony. They don't fight. Their INFANTS never cry. They are not selfish, not aggressive, or materialistic. By now, missionaries have probably invaded their home because books have been published about them, but at one time, they were a perfect, uncorrupted example of true human nature.
AdamRainStopper 9 months ago
@AdamRainStopper >In nature it is the collective that wins.
