  • FAVORITE OF THE NORA SHOW

  • Great song. Love the older county music. Im glad my ex husband made me listen to songs like this.

  • Joaquinmurrieta1850 - try Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn's Right in the Palm of My Hands - good luck.

  • Awesome, my father who is 78 loves this kind of music as well as Blue Grass / Hank Williams / Hank Snow / Tubbs ets. I remember this from way back in the day. No one sings like this any longer. I miss Willie / Waylon and the boys, Charlie Rich, Merle etc etc.

  • I need your help finding a song I heard back in 1987. Lyrics include " I turned around and you were gone, its over its over" Anyone? Sure sounds like John but the song eludes me. Thanks

  • This is one of his best.

  • god u r so missed john!!!!

  • Awesome, always good to be out and have a good time, but when this guy comes on, time to turn it up n make everyone listen, cheers to all . . . . .

  • Love all the old pics, He has such a tremendous voice.

  • My Grandmother died in Dec and I could not fly home to her funeral but this was one of her favorite.

  • I love this song, but I wasn't the one wearing the glasses. Sad to say, she eventually took them off, and said goodbye.

  • Love John, saw him at the 99.1 FM concert in the 90's and he sat out in the hot sun until everyone that wanted an autograph got one. He autograhphed a pic for my Grandparents which still hangs in their enclosed porch!! He also had a big bucket that day that he put on stage for charity when he did 'busted'! He's a great country artist, and a great man!

  • His songs are truly magical:)

  • Could you please post "Before my time"? It gets played on XM radio's Roadhouse channel but I can't find it anywhere. It's my favorite John Conlee song.

  • There is something so perfect

    about this....

    The blues bayby!!!

  • Last song I ever sang to my daddy when he passed in May of 2009. It was his favorite that I use to sing. He helped me take off my rose colored glasses. Love this song. I haven't sang it since!

  • @shaybeck2218 *Sad*

  • @goodbrolly goodbrolly...it really isn't sad..it's more of a lasting tribute when I think about it. My daddy was a good man who loved his country music. He taught me many things in his 82 yrs. One of the most valuable was that he taught me to sing and let it be heard...also to take the rose colored glasses off so that I could live life to the fullest.

  • @shaybeck2218 He lived a long life then! I'm impressed that you could take that life lesson away with you. Few it seems get a privilege like that. God bless you.

  • love this song, best country song ever!!!!!!

  • You'll never get better than John Conlee singing Rose Colored glasses!! If we could only capture the brilliance of these artists in today's music .....

  • absolutely.....i always included this song in my sets at the saloons

  • A Classic, even a Rocker gets this message. Play it when they spread my ashes back to the planet.

  • Thank Christ I finally threw away my rose-colored glasses! :)

  • Yes, praise the Lord! I used to listen to the whiney nonsensical words in these songs too and believe it reflected reality; but I found reality in Jesus alone!!!

  • @flamary429 I have a "pair," too long..... I finally had to break them and make sure that I never see through them again...... Yes, painful you bet.... was it the right thing... Absloutly......

  • wonderful song and singer the perfect combination

  • *****

  • Mortician...disc jockey...future hall-of famer!

  • Great video, love the song too !
