I really like your video's, music and all the stills are great. Your Stuka and this P-40 are outstanding scale models. I expect you will win many awards at the scale events. You are a great builder and pilot. Keep up the great work!!!
Job well done!!!...I can appreciate all of the work that went into this...Hardly anyone builds from a kit these days much less from scratch!!!....Again, NICE JOB!!!
Very nice plane... Good job and nice scale flight... The only thing that could make your plane better would be a scale prop... Very nice though, I am impressed...
What a nice job. I recently ordered the Skyshark & only hope it handles as close as possible to that. I also do like to hear the plane more, but I did hear it somewhat and liked the sound. What engine did you use and are you still as satisfied today? GREAT JOB!!
Don't be embarassed! P-40's have a tendancy to nose over, especially in grass.Awesome flight and nice job building it.You can tell by how stable it looks in the air....or is that just pilot skill?
if you know any history on the p-40 warhawk you should now who claire chennault is well he is my grandpa and i have met tex hill one of the greates p-40 warhawk fighters to live and one of the best fighter pilots in history
Fantastic! Even the way the landing gear goes up and down. I panicked a little bit with the nose dive, but, looks like there was no damage. Phew!. Totally enjoyed the video! :)
dude this is cool me and my dad are building a Troy built models p-40 with a 96" wingspan ill send u the vid of it flying when we are done... we are in the process of working out of bugs with the retracts... tbm has crappy retracts
Nice! She looks very realistic in the air. I love those slow graceful turns without the jerky movements that are common in most RC videos. You've obviously been on the sticks for a while. Very nice job on the construction, too!
THAT IS NOTHING SHORT OF AWESOME!!!! That PLANE ROCKOLA'S!!!!! Loved that low and fast pass, excellent video. The music set really set the tone. I jumped when it nosed in, I thought it was a goner, but thankfully it wasn't! It's only missing one thing, the shark mouth, that belongs on every P-40 Warhawk, Kittyhawk etc ;) God bless
I typed in "Giant scale RC" so I can see some giant scale rc.....obviously. I didn't type in George Thorogood. Nice plane and flight but why the f%@k does everybody do this?? I want to hear the damn plane.
Some parts of a P-40 resemble a spitfire like the tail, but the main differences are the cowl on the front, the cockpit windows, and the landing gear of the spit go into the wing folding side to side, not back and up. Also the eliptical wing of the spit is always a dead giveaway. The P-40 wing has a very straight line on the leading edge.
Nice job on the build..I might sugggest that you use a 3 blade prop ,more authentic..I use 3 blades on my 3 Warhawks I have and like the sound better too.
Not as much as you would think. If you make many of the parts yourself. I also bought a used engine. I probably have about $1,500 in it, but it took a year to build, so I bought a little as I went along. To start, you just have to spend $45 for plans, and about $150 for all the wood. Lastly, about $75 on a scroll saw, and about $75 on a belt/disk sander.
Excellent!!!I can't find the right words my friend...I've seen your vids more than 10 times!Tell me something, which one fly better, the P40 or the Stuka?
Beautiful job! Definatley worth watching! Great build & finish! Flying is great for a P-40. babyboijeremy obviously doesn't appreciate the craftmanship that goes into building one of these planes. Ignore him as the rest of us did!
Beautiful plane my friend. I am getting ready to build a P-51 here in the near future. I always loved planes wit full sheet balsa on the complete model. Thanks for the great video!
Stunning. I just ordered the yellow aircraft P 40. Going to be a slow on going project. Reason for picking a P 40. Love the plane and want to be different and there wasnt one p 40 at warbirds over the rockies this year, just the raffle one
Sweet Plane! Looked very realistic on takeoff especially sweet rotating retracts as well. Did a Spitfire years ago that is close to the same size as your P40. Love em!! Oh and keithbenicek.. Dude if you're complaining about a headache from video shake you must have some kind of inner ear problem. Definitely wouldn't take you up in my Mooney!
Video looked fine to me. Nice Warbird. You did 'em proud.

Oh my god this video gives me a headache from all the shaking, PLEASE get a camcorder with video stabilization! Not taking anything away from the RC plane, it is gorgeous; but if you're going to be scale accurate in a "giant scale" RC plane, ALL P-40s had a "tri-blade" propeller, not a two blade. There is no reason a Giant (even a small scale RC) can't be running an accurate three bladed prop. The radiator cowling is wrong too.
Also, the P-40 was designed and buit by Curtiss-Wright, not Curtiss
WOW thats was cool. Great plane. Great video. Lokks like a real one. Im building one myself. I have to get a motor and retracts. How big motor is it in this one?
Another clueless power flight. Power clubs are mainly old men who are so abusive no one can stand them. Gas clubs will rip you off. Many will deny use of the runway if you fly electric. Bad Clubs- North Dallas RC club, Fortworth Thunderbirds, Richardson RC Club, Greater Southwest Aero Modelers, Golden Triangle RC Club. Stay away from these they are not worth the money.
One of the most correct RC planes I've seen !!! Scale MPH is very realistic as are the flight characteristics. Most RC guys go and "over kill" with the motor but yours is very correct motor it seems. Nice Job !!!
Nice job, what kind of engine and prop.?

Can these giant-scale warbirds be flown with 3-bladed props? So often you see WWII models with a 2-bladed prop when Spits and Stangs used 4.
(And watch out for A6M2s coming outta the sun!)

Mine is powered by an 62 ccm Zenoah engine with droppable tank, scale retracts from Germany and a Flying Tiger Finish.
