  • Nice job, what kind of engine and prop.?

  • I really like your video's, music and all the stills are great. Your Stuka and this P-40 are outstanding scale models. I expect you will win many awards at the scale events. You are a great builder and pilot. Keep up the great work!!!

  • Job well done!!!...I can appreciate all of the work that went into this...Hardly anyone builds from a kit these days much less from scratch!!!....Again, NICE JOB!!!

    Kevin

  • Beautiful machine, excellent scale flying! The Artie Shaw music fit beautifully as well!

  • Amazing! The take off looks like an actual P-40

  • Can these giant-scale warbirds be flown with 3-bladed props? So often you see WWII models with a 2-bladed prop when Spits and Stangs used 4.

(And watch out for A6M2s coming outta the sun!)

  • this is realistic looking plane and sound

  • This is making me playing COD3

  • Anybody who can confuse a spitfire and a p 40 dosen't know jack about airplanes.

  • Very nice plane... Good job and nice scale flight... The only thing that could make your plane better would be a scale prop... Very nice though, I am impressed...

  • P-40 is very good but Bad to the music stinks.

  • Just caught the video...amazing! Great job ib building and flying! The P40 is one of my favorite warbirds! Thank you for sharing!

  • the music is awesome!

  • NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • dude, dude!!!!, what did you study to build that plain!!!! its awesome!!!

  • I like the music at the beginning, what's the title?

This is a nice aircraft, how does the retracts work? The wheels rotate and retract, don't they?

  • Zeros are better

  • @TheGerrellg2101 Till they are hit!

  • that thing is sweeet! :)

  • Now thats entertainment!

What a nice job. I recently ordered the Skyshark & only hope it handles as close as possible to that. I also do like to hear the plane more, but I did hear it somewhat and liked the sound. What engine did you use and are you still as satisfied today? GREAT JOB!!

  • @IGO4MAKO1

Now I caught it (Brison 4.2).

    Moonglow was a nice touch.

  • Lovely scale flight.

  • Don't be embarassed! P-40's have a tendancy to nose over, especially in grass.Awesome flight and nice job building it.You can tell by how stable it looks in the air....or is that just pilot skill?

  • What was the total cost for this?

  • Very Well made and flowen.

  • awesome model of one of the greatest single prop fighters ever built....thanks for posting!

  • love the p 40 how do you make such beauty?

  • if you know any history on the p-40 warhawk you should now who claire chennault is well he is my grandpa and i have met tex hill one of the greates p-40 warhawk fighters to live and one of the best fighter pilots in history

  • youve me text hill? how and when he was a great ace as well as chuck yeager

  • I have the same model since almost 3 years and it's an absolute dream to fly.

Mine is powered by an 62 ccm Zenoah engine with droppable tank, scale retracts from Germany and a Flying Tiger Finish.

    Congratulations - very impressive video!!

    Greets

    Danny

  • I also have the same model that can shoot out swarm missiles and I also have a mini screen beside my controller for a TOW view and mine can hover.

  • What a nice model and flight. But the "Bad to the Boner" music distracted from the nice engine sound.

  • Fantastic! Even the way the landing gear goes up and down. I panicked a little bit with the nose dive, but, looks like there was no damage. Phew!. Totally enjoyed the video! :)

  • felicitaciones increibe muy bonito totalmente real

  • dude this is cool me and my dad are building a Troy built models p-40 with a 96" wingspan ill send u the vid of it flying when we are done... we are in the process of working out of bugs with the retracts... tbm has crappy retracts

  • incredible plane, best songs, better choices, five stars!!!

  • the way it takes off is very realistic...

  • Very impressive.

  • Fabulous model and video.

  • this was the best r c video and u prbly realy had to know how to fly one of these and not crash it like i saw in other videos

    five stars

  • Nice! She looks very realistic in the air. I love those slow graceful turns without the jerky movements that are common in most RC videos. You've obviously been on the sticks for a while. Very nice job on the construction, too!

  • A master builder of one of the military wonders.

  • THAT IS NOTHING SHORT OF AWESOME!!!! That PLANE ROCKOLA'S!!!!! Loved that low and fast pass, excellent video. The music set really set the tone. I jumped when it nosed in, I thought it was a goner, but thankfully it wasn't! It's only missing one thing, the shark mouth, that belongs on every P-40 Warhawk, Kittyhawk etc ;) God bless

  • I typed in "Giant scale RC" so I can see some giant scale rc.....obviously. I didn't type in George Thorogood. Nice plane and flight but why the f%@k does everybody do this?? I want to hear the damn plane.

  • Sorry, most people dont like the weedeater sound for 7minutes straight...

  • isnt that a spitfire?

  • Some parts of a P-40 resemble a spitfire like the tail, but the main differences are the cowl on the front, the cockpit windows, and the landing gear of the spit go into the wing folding side to side, not back and up. Also the eliptical wing of the spit is always a dead giveaway. The P-40 wing has a very straight line on the leading edge.

  • @marcregoyoyo

    Spitfire?? Why??

  • I'm hoping to eventually put airsoft guns in mine

  • awesome!!! now u just need bb guns at the wings ;)

  • Excellent scale rendition and flight, thanks for sharing :)

  • Beautiful job mate! What an amazing site :)

  • WOW! Cool plane...Great job!

  • MY FAVORITE AIRPLANE!!

Nice job on the build..I might sugggest that you use a 3 blade prop ,more authentic..I use 3 blades on my 3 Warhawks I have and like the sound better too.

  • I'm probably going to build a Ziroli P-40 soon, mine will be in the aleutian tiger paint scheme.

  • those planes are gigantic!!! my dad bought one and it had a 6 foot wing span. I thought about it and im only 2 inchs taller if it was on its side!!!

  • Very good!!!!!!!

  • Did you use Robart re-trac's ?

  • It's fine to see a Scale Plane flying in the right way!

    Real!

    Congratulations!

  • I could not agree more!!!!

  • at 0.30sec thats the best p40 pose i recon

  • Nice plane cant even think of the words to describe it. just wondering about how much did this plane cost you when its all said and done?

  • Not as much as you would think. If you make many of the parts yourself. I also bought a used engine. I probably have about $1,500 in it, but it took a year to build, so I bought a little as I went along. To start, you just have to spend $45 for plans, and about $150 for all the wood. Lastly, about $75 on a scroll saw, and about $75 on a belt/disk sander.

  • Excellent!!!I can't find the right words my friend...I've seen your vids more than 10 times!Tell me something, which one fly better, the P40 or the Stuka?

  • Stuka is much more stable. But the P-40 is a lot more fun (If you dont count the bombs I drop from the Stuka....that is the most fun!).

  • nice build, i love the p-40 my favorite warbird, dont crash it!! now you just need to get a zero up there so you can have mock dogfights

  • GOD DAMN YO YO YO SHES A BEAUTY

  • Very good job and video

  • Beautiful scale flying. Excellent!

  • Beautiful job! Definatley worth watching! Great build & finish! Flying is great for a P-40. babyboijeremy obviously doesn't appreciate the craftmanship that goes into building one of these planes. Ignore him as the rest of us did!

    Thanks for posting!

  • Excellent P40 certainly not a waste of time

  • that is so cool!! you are the best at doing this i love watching your vids

  • Beautiful plane my friend. I am getting ready to build a P-51 here in the near future. I always loved planes wit full sheet balsa on the complete model. Thanks for the great video!

  • nice build. it even takes off looking heavy. like the real hawk.

  • Stunning. I just ordered the yellow aircraft P 40. Going to be a slow on going project. Reason for picking a P 40. Love the plane and want to be different and there wasnt one p 40 at warbirds over the rockies this year, just the raffle one

  • Sweet Plane! Looked very realistic on takeoff especially sweet rotating retracts as well. Did a Spitfire years ago that is close to the same size as your P40. Love em!! Oh and keithbenicek.. Dude if you're complaining about a headache from video shake you must have some kind of inner ear problem. Definitely wouldn't take you up in my Mooney!

Video looked fine to me. Nice Warbird. You did 'em proud.

  • "headache from all the shaking"!? What kind of talk is this? R U PILOT or COP?

  • actally there is no "scale" prop for a p40 that you can run on a gas engine.

  • What's cool is to get close to the monitor and relax your eyes when watching it fly...it looks like formation flying.

  • wow

  • hiya could you tell me what the wingspan and engine size is please thnx

  • WOW awesommmmmme plane and great video! Im picking up a P-40 this week!

  • WOW thats was cool. Great plane. Great video. Lokks like a real one. Im building one myself. I have to get a motor and retracts. How big motor is it in this one?

  • A really great plane and video...Thanks for sharing...

  • Great flying!!

It's nice to see a great model being flown the way it should be flown!

    Thank you.

  • Well done on the P-40. Nick Z's plans are

great. I am getting ready to build his A6M2

Zero. Part cutting starts this weekend.

  • awesome vid man im going to get one on the weekend hope i get the one with retractable landing gear

  • Sou amante do p40 , mas este a aero e sensacional, parabens... beatifful

  • Smeplicemente fantastico!!!!

    Great!!! Wonderful model !!!!!

  • Engine?

  • One of the most correct RC planes I've seen !!! Scale MPH is very realistic as are the flight characteristics. Most RC guys go and "over kill" with the motor but yours is very correct motor it seems. Nice Job !!!

  • a 3 bladed prop would look fab + keep the 40s swing music top job though congrats.

  • Great job! On the plane and the video. I just started in RC flying , I can hardly wait to graduate to a large scale kit. CONGRATS!!

  • very nice job. Its stunning how dou u work on the realism, congratulations
