I HAVE THE EXACT SAME EYELID AS JIE... and she looks okay here doing her eyelids like that but if you go darker in the colours it doesn't work... asians especially with that droopy eyelids do their eyes a little different i put my "V" much lower than what eve does...i dunno i watch some of those taiwanese makeup artist for eye tips

Hi everyone, I just needto get this of my chest: I dont meanto be rude but I kinda dont agree with these kinds of "improvement" videos.. I know its the same idea as applying foundation, but I just think programmes that want to "improve you" and make you look beautiful imply anyone with birthmarks or freckles or monolids is the opposite of beautiful... If that makes sense. I see makeup more as something to alter my looks from day to day rather than make me more gorgeous!! Everyone is gorgeous!

To give the illusion of a lifted cheek bone. Shading with the bone structure defines, but shading a tiny bit higher and highlighting beneath it will lift the whole result.

Awesome! The best camerawork & lighting to date. I am personally not fond of fake crease look for monolids but this turned out to be gorgeous and so natural-looking for Jie. Many US MAs use fake eyelashes as the unified solution to open-up the hooded eyes, which I always feel as way too simple solution. What if for those who are allergic to eyelash glues, etc.?

I bought the Salmon concealer due to VERY bad dark circles. It looked completely ORANGE on me! Horrid! I didn't know there was a lighter one at the time. The best luck I have had is with Ben Nye Blue Neutralizer No. 1. And it isn't $50. I'm sure her other makeup is great, but no need to be that expensive. There is other pro makeup that is 1/4 the cost and absolutely fantastic. I do love her techniques though!

hey koren! i have the same problem as jie, except i have a couple of really "dark, black" freckles that are REALLY noticeable on my face... i have tried EVERYTHING.. but unfortunately nothing seemed to cover it (the freckle still showed through my foundation/concealer)... so if you have any tips on how to cover them.. please let me know! thanks so muchh! =)

well different people want different things.

in asian cultures, women try to stay as pale as possible with as little freckles as possible because it means that they are well bred and are of higher status. And to this day there are products that are sold to help women achieve this so just so you know, what you deem pretty is not exactly what others deem pretty.

Anotherexample is that some people think that you can never be too skinny while others think that as long as you're happy you look good

Perhaps it's the lighting but her foundation does not match her neck. Also I ordered the salmon concealer in the multi-shade compact and I find that it really doesn't work for me. With my order I recieved a free lip gloss which had a horrible cheap minty like flavor. It was so bad that I threw out the free sample.

I find one of the hardest things to get right is concealers. I have the worst undereye circles too.

Maybe it just takes a little or lots of practice. It works well when Eve does it. She has her product mastered.

Was the concealer creamy and soft like they look when eve applies them? I have been very curious, but I don't like cakey products, so I haven't committed to buying it yet. I wish she had teeny samples of the salmon duos. Like a two usage sample.

Yes the concealer is really soft and creamy. I just find that it doesn't cover up much on me. Perhaps you are right and I'm not doing it right. I will try to use it for 1 week straight and see how it goes because I don't want to waste the product since it's so expensive.

Keep trying. Don't give up. Possibly you are accidentally removing too much of it when blending? I also read somewhere that when using the salmon colors, to not get them outside of the blueness of your circles. Since the red in the salmon cancels out the blue, it can look yucky if it gets on the outer areas of your eyes that don't have blue in them. If that makes sence?

I always do that. Ugh! Why does foundations and concealers have to be so difficult?

actually there is a brand called lise watier and they have a concealer palette that is very good for undereye circles, check out michelle phan's video for that!
